my robot idea:

Irophyte Borg

So, it would be a normal robot, with 17 base damage, with a normal attack for its nomal move. but my idea for its special is a passive that would be that every time it is used, it powers up by 3%.

I see some difference between the two.

The IA special passively powers up every turn until it is used. This robot however has a passive special that powers up 5% everytime it is used. So the first time would be 100% (Example) then the next time it is used it would do 105% damage and do on.

As if having Android alone isn't annoying as hell ingame...
having a bot that gets +5% damage every time it's used.

i want this idea because: it would take more skill than an android and you would have to think before you use your move. This is because: with android, you can just charge the robot passively, so you can definitely use it for a strong rage. to compensate, this robot gets more potential damage, but takes more skill and is harder to use as well as android.

My omega yeti deals 190 damage with my omega weapon every single time I use it. The highest non yeti bot base damage is 170. Not to mention the fact that androids damage is 150 damage, and the special starts at 85%. In my eyes, the omega yeti is stronger then the infernal android, because you don't have to wait for good damage. The infernal android's 130% damage takes 9 turns to get to. And what is the 30% extra damage, 30% out of 150 is 50 extra damage only making it 200 damage, slightly higher then an omega yeti, multiplied with tech and added focus of course. With this new bot, you'd have to use it twice already before it would even be dealing 110% damage.

150+200+180=530

1.3x(150+200+180 tec bonus)=689

the spec does more than 50 extra damage if you are using focus with moderate tec :P

As far as I know, bot specials can only be used once. Don't see what you mean about passive either, bots don't have cores?

@ED Divine Darkness
I DID say multiplied by tech and added focus.

We are fine without yet another Robot that has the power of actual skills without an energy cost. And eventually destroys you without drawbacks. Looking at you, Infernal Android.

Why that Robot has not been rewritten is beyond me. Even the Gamma Bot is far balanced in comparison: all its special does is allow a different damage type (no bonus power).
