My only favorite part about EpicDuel today is the missions. They break up the monotony, and most of the ones I've encountered ask for miscellaneous items from shops or challenging NPCs, or just to challenge NPCs, or even to find something random sitting around. When I do get to a mission that asks for PvP kills, I grit my teeth and go into 2v2 most the time, or try to find a way to outsmart some of the Tech Mages in 1v1s. I played this game not only in Delta, but in Beta too. Back then, everything felt so much better and so different than what it is today. IIRC, Varium was there, but it wasn't as overpowering as it is today. In fact, we did feel "Oh no, we're dead" when we saw a Varium player, but there were so few of them that we continued to play anyway. And we didn't see 80% Tech Mages; all of the classes were equal. Mercs, BHs, and TMs were all equally seen, and we had to formulate strategies for each battle on the fly because every player was different, even though the skills were the same between the same class. And you know, it was fun. I'll bet you anything that Beta was way more balanced than Delta or Omega. In any case, it seems like to have any sort of fun, I'd need to switch to Tech Mage (which will cost Varium that I don't have and don't want to buy), and battle other Tech Mages and see which one of us wins based on luck. Pfft. If only NPCs gave you experience and counted for PvP kills. I could take on 1v2 PvE, and that would make the game more bearable. As it is, though, right now? Nah. Should have stuck with Beta.
