Make videos on promotion items

 Epic duel should make videos that demonstrate promotional items, especially items with pre-implemented cores

The video can...
- Make people more comfortable buying a promotional item
- Can potentially bring more people into epic duel
- Inform which merchant sells the items
- Inform how much it costs
- Demonstrate the animations and effects of the promotional item's core
- etc.

Negative effects:
- Will take a while to make
- May have to hire someone to make it
- May discourage epic duel users to make this kind of content on their own youtube channels

 I originally had this saying it is already being handled by fans but really I haven't seen any of the active EpicDuel Youtube Personalities do this as soon as an update comes out. I know WhiteTiger did a video on his top five promotions but that is hardly helpful in this situation.

I recently started doing this with the Waves of Wrath promotional gear and I plan on continuing to do it with future promotional gear, though it will most likely be a separate video from the update video.

Personally I would rather hear from the fans than the Devs when it comes to the promotional content. The developers can spin the promo anyway they want because the video would show the gear as they intended it to be. However; the fans are the ones exploiting the gear so they would be who I want to go to for promotional advice. Plus making videos is free even if you don't have any of the software needed. Download Open Broadcaster Software and you now have a recording tool. Youtube has built in editing tools or you can just keep shooting multiple takes until you are happy with your raw footage which is what I do for update videos.

So to address every single negative comment.
  • If you upload a raw ten minute video recorded in OBS upload to Youtube should not take that long depending on your internet connection. It takes me about thirty minutes to upload and ten minutes to record so not long at all.
  • If it was fan made no the only pay would be coming from Google Adsense or a partnership to the uploader as Artix Entertainment does not content claim videos. If it was development made it would most likely be myself or Goony working as volunteers so unpaid and no ad income for the creators.
  • Do PewDiePie, Achievement Hunters(Let's Play), or The Creatures discourage people from making let's play or walk-through content? Probably but they also encourage a lot of people to go out and make more of this content. Same concept applies here, we would get people who would end up discouraged because they don't think they could compete with the content being produced already but you would also be encouraging fans of the work to go out and create more of the work.

    		 Like One Winged Angel said, I also make YouTube videos and I would love to do videos covering the new promo packs. I'm not the type of person that wants to just do a regular demonstration of the latest promo pack, I'd rather put my own spin on it. While I feel like it makes my video more unique, it also adds in a lot of production time, and with multiple university midterms on top of the weekly assignments and monthly projects, getting a lot of spare time to dedicate to making these videos is not something I can do currently.

    In fact, I've had a video recorded from before I left for university on the first day of September, and a month later I still haven't gotten around to editing that video. I am planning on covering the new promo pack via my newest series, EpicDuel Versus, and I would love to release a video covering a new promo pack the day it releases, but right now that isn't feasible for me. You can definitely expect a video from me about it eventually, although it's tough to say when I can get the video done.

    Other commitments outside of AE and EpicDuel are also why many of the past staff contributors to the official EpicDuel YouTube channel were unable to constantly push out videos, thus resulting in the channel being inactive. I'm sure the developers are fully aware of the many positives of having EpicDuel videos on YouTube, however like you said, it does take a long time to produce a video if it has a lot of production involved.

    		I plan on starting my new YT channel upon November's end.

    The promotional package idea is a good suggestion and I will consider it when I start planning my daily video ideas.
