Epic New Year: Duel On to 2015!

Where did the time go? It seems like 2014 just started but now be must bid adieu to another passing year. We don't want the celebration and fanfare of Frozen Fury to end just yet so we are celebrating 2015 by starting with a 4-day Power Weekend (starts midnight EST). Get Double XP and Credits from Thursday to Sunday night.

Ring in the New Year with some epic duels in EpicDuel...as long as you're not too sore from unwrapping all those gifts sitting in your mailbox!

Your gifts won't get better if you wait to open them. In fact, they'll expire 60 days after you receive them. There's not reason to hoard them so why wait? There's not even any gift wrapping to dispose or impossible-to-open plastic cases to rip through!

27 Day of Gifting Ends

All good things must end. The 27 Days of Giving is reaching it's frenzied conclusion as I type this. You have been more generous than we ever expected. The excitement around this feature was so great that we established a trending topic on Twitter! One midnight strikes and the event ends, the grandest prizes will finally unwrap.

*Leaderboard standings as of 1:10PM EST

The top 10 gifters will receive the Gold Polar Bear mutation. The top gifter will receive Titan's Ultra Rare Alpha Gear. We are not re-releasing Alpha or creating a new version of it. Titan is literally removing the items from himself to bestow on the most generous player in EpicDuel as only a bacon-craving demigod can.

Note to winners: All the awards will be given manually so it may take some time to get everything sorted. Please allow us some time add the awards to your character!

We are sad to see the gifting end, and the popularity of this feature is not lost on us. We hope to find a way to introduce a permanent, streamlined version of this feature in 2015.

New Year's Loot
On Friday, we will be introducing new weapons, armors, styles, and home items to ring in the New Year! How does a mutating, color custom version of The Endless Armor sound? Sound tasty? You bet!

Thank you for letting us create this game for you for another year. This game would not be possible without our dedicated support team, including guest artists, writers, moderators, testers, and AKs. EpicDuel would absolutely not exist without our players, dueling tirelessly and exceeding our expectations. Thank you all! We hope this upcoming year is even more epic than the last!

Thank you for all the gifts, o deep-pocketed ones! All the generous gifters made this past month really, really exciting.

I'm not sure a permanent version would be as well received....this was kind of a Special Event. On the other hand, it would be nice to be able to take part, if it's happening at a time of year when I am not flat broke due to Christmas. :D

 finally it is over, was a month of seeking gifters on twitter and each time that one was spotted it starts a true race to join in the world before it become full. even staying tuned constantly i still miss almost all big events (such the top10 gift parties) due the extreme quickly world full in secs. at the final was needed keep constantly switching between epic and exile server and lose gifts due the slow loadings... also maintain my poor notebook in use 24 hours per day during this month for stay online in edgar w8. cool event.. they said..

I just Opened all my 1700 gifts I had left and I im too lazy to sell 800 items and use 400 arcade tokens.

Rayman sure did went hardcore gift farming.
I only took enough gifts and was lucky to win the Endless Spirit for Endless Protection/Enhance cores.

1700 is mind-boggling. I think I had about 300, which was mind-boggling enough for me. My inventory is almost entirely full of temp cores I will eventually use in battle. Just tested Energy Storm today.

Now waiting for the return of the war counter...if I remember correctly, before it disappeared, it showed that there would be a war sometime in January. (Got some War Commander cores in the bank from the gifting, too! :D)

 Oh man, I just noticed that my Char page is glitched or it doesnt displays all the items I got because I checked char and the Void shards are not there but in my inventory I have 41 Void Shards.

I myself got well within the thousands when it came to giftings as well and would have had even more had the ED server not been kicking me during or just before giftings.

Heck if I didn't spend any credits during this event I would have well over 3 million credits instead of the mere 237K I have now. But even so I still have more credits than when I started.

I see why they had to make credit sinks now, but the unfortunate thing is that they affect people with 0 gifts and with 1700 gifts equally. 1700 gifts...how often did you leave your computer screen?

 I Didnt even used the computer that much, i just Favorited the top Gifters on twitter So I could receive the notifications as soon as they tweeted on my phone and I just had to login and afk at the gift area.
Most of the gifts that I got are from playing with the phone, I Could login anywhere at anytime with my phone very quickly just to afk at the gift area.
Also Most of my Buddy List were the players that Gifted the most, So we can say that I had my Contacts.

And I Actually ended up with 2500-3000 Gifts if you count the ones I had to open before.

Good for you. I think it's safe to say you'll never have credit problems. Though I don't like how people made over 1 million credits with no effort. Battling for credits seems like a joke now.

 I Had 1.3 Mil before the Gifts Update, So we can say that the Gifts were not needed to keep me safe in creds.

Well, now you just have a ludicrous amount. You got more than 1.3 million credits I'm sure, just from standing in the right places.

I personally have ~2 million credits plus 1200 unopened gifts. And that's by just leaving my account opened in certain areas. Clicking once in awhile so I don't get kicked out because of being AFK. And last but not least, the almighty, incredible, hashtag #EDGifts which without it, none of us could've gotten any gift.

I'm not planning to open those gifts any time soon, because they will earn me tokens, tokens mean a full inventory, full inventory means no new weapons for you in the next update, which means you need to spend your tokens, on usual arcades. So when a new arcade comes out you won't have a single token to spend on.

So it's better to stock your gifts for the next 60 days, there won't be a lot of credits sink items and maybe a new arcade bot. My idea anyways, so if devs are rushing you on twitter to open those gifts now, I believe you should open them in the last 10 - 5 days, to get the best out of them.

I got a little over 200k, and I was happy about that. I was happy when I got 2,000 PvP wins and most people I fight have 10 times that. People put way too much time into this game.
