Tick, tick, tick... Fuse, aka Jeremy Adams, clicked off the seconds with his tongue impatiently, gripping the satchel on his hip with one nervous hand, leaning against the Commerce District bank, the rough brick pressing into his leather jacket. He looked at his boss, the man who hid behind the mask, who in turn stared straight back at the explosives specialist. The black eyes made him shiver, a quiver that started at the top of his spine, where his neck hairs stood straight on end, like soldiers at attention, and rattled throughout his vertebrae. Fuse was a police officer, ironically, before he turned to crime. He worked on bomb squads, and had always been adept at deactivating and reactivating explosives. That was, until he blew up his entire unit, and turned out to be the only survivor, having only been thinking about the bomb while putting on his equipment. After discovering his powers, Fuse became a villain, because bank robbing was much more profitable than actually working. It was easier, too. He had quickly discovered that explosions were good ways to get in and out of banks quickly. Tick, tick, tick... Fuse started pacing in the small alley, glaring at the bomb on the wall. He wasn't allowed to set it off yet. His accomplice wouldn't let him. Fuse really, really wanted to. But no. The masked man threatened to do terrible things to Fuse, things Fuse knew he could do. The man was only here for a few more moments, anyways. Just to make sure Fuse didn't blow (Fuse laughed at his own joke, earning him a round of glares from all assembled) the operation. Two more villains stood behind him, a mister Jeckel, who was a hulking mass of teeth and muscle, but too stupid to know any order more complicated than kill. The other was a miss Silence, an assassin with the ability to still sound waves in the air, making it impossible to hear anything. She did this now, as finally, FINALLY, the masked man nodded to Fuse, who in turn pointed to the bomb on the side of the wall, and snapped his fingers. Tick, tick, tick....BOOM! Fuse stepped back, just as the masked man disappeared, though how and to where were unknown to Fuse, nor did he care. Fuse was in charge now, and that's all he cared about. Jeckel swooped in, slamming into a guard, and smashing his skull in with one giant fist. Silence was next, silencing the screams and cries with her power, drawing two semi automatic hand guns and opening up on the civilians. Hostages were irrelevant here. Fuse stepped in next, and quickly made his way to the vault. He knew a silent alarm had been triggered, and that cameras had most definitely picked up on their entrance. Setting to work, he left the killing of everyone inside the bank to the other two, and pressed a set of det cord and plastic explosives to the face. Just another day in NNY, really. Sure, law enforcement, heroes, independants, the FBSA, and anyone with a shred of good in their body would probably be on top of them soon, but Fuse was excited, impatient even, to get a fight going. Civilians were nothing but fodder, but supers? Supers were the real deal. Tick, tick, tick...
