National Weapon DataBase

The idea here is that you have a single shop located in central station that offers every weapon in game. That's right, every weapon that is currently available in game.

Heres how it'd work:

1) Youd cick on whatever NPC this shop is at

2) Click on "shop"

3)Every weapon/bike/bot that is currently available will be located right there NOT FOR PURCHASE. This shop is only to give you a preview of the weapon

4) Instead of purchasing the weapon here, you'd click on "Go to Vendor" or whoever sells that specific item.

5) You'll then be teleported to that individual.

This feature has one specific pro to it, unlike the item finder, which is:

-Seeing all weapons in game.

And the reason why this will be a good feature to have is because we're honestly rapidly moving to a more "equal" environment where varium/non varium wont matter. Ranks/no ranks wont matter. Promos/non-promos wont matter. What'll matter most is cosmetics.

This feature will allow players to scroll throough all the weapons in the game in a quicker and more time efficient way to see what would match their specific look

I think there is already something called "Item finder" in the upgrade shop.

Yes I mentioned that. The difference here is that you get to physically see each and every weapon hence saving you time.

Updating item finder would be a great suggestion though

@Lord Machaar

Clearly, you don't understand the concept behind this idea.
He said that since the game is becoming cosmetic, a "Preview Shop" will help players look all the items in the game faster. While item finder only list the name of
the item, price, and vendor. It doesn't show how the item LOOKS.

This idea reminds me of nulgath preview shop in AQWorlds.

Edit: oh, you sniped me.

Yes AQW, that's the idea behind it. This way players can browse through the games items faster or see what matches them. I hope its a good suggestion

The game is made to be explored, as each new war, mission, NPC, event give the players the possiblity to explore the game, and its different regions.
I can't simply imagine how much lazy this generation has became.

You realize epicduel is a game, right? Everyone that plays it has some degree of 'laziness'
And what is wrong with a simply way to find items, WITHOUT HEADACHE. The point of the game is to be enjoyed,
not to spend 30+ minutes looking for the perfect item to go with your look.

It is a game. And I have also thought of the fact that the game should be "explored" which is why I included the feature of jumping to the Seller as opposed to buying the item on the spot.

Some players have things to do (which was a similar excuse applied to many other topics).

Heh, i was just about to edit my post to include the 'jump to vendor' feature. Its only a preview shop, not a place to actually buy the item.

Simply if you play the game long enough, you will end up knowing the game better. I played this game for a long time and I'm proud to say I know each and every region of it like the palm of my hand. Because enjoying the game doesn't mean seeing its content in one page. Exploring the game is far better, as you will end up knowing that each region has its special type of weapons, biological preserve has these wooden and biological creatures type of weapons, fortune city has a futuristic type of weapons, frysteland has some ice-related and snow creatures related items and etc... Atleast that is the definition of enjoying the game and the art of its artists.

EDIT: Jumping to the vendor, which means 1 place out of 200 places in that region, yeah that look like "exploring". God, even the word explore has a different meaning in this generation.

@Machaar

Earlier you mentioned about how lazy your generation has become.
Now you state "If you play long enough....."

A new player is going to be overwhelmed by all the items in the game. Giving them a way of viewing all the items
gives them a chance to get to know older items in the game.

Edit: And yes it does have a different meaning. Apparently, now it means clicking on a computer screen to see a random assortment of pixels on a screen.

A new player will definitely be overwhelmed. The maps are huge. And by having a preview option we will be
quote:

enjoying... the art of its artists.

As per the maps: I'll be honest. I can say that I've never walked around on ED. Ive probably never stepped foot on every last area. I log on, win, log off. I barely even talk to anyone. But I still love the art and I still want to see the weapons in game or a preview of them without having to jump to each and every different vendor..

A new player won't look for the best looking item, new players tend to buy the most efficient weapons, due to many "restrictions" such as not being able to obtain enough credits. By the time this player obtains enough experience, he will then look for special weapons in deja-vu places he already visited.
A new player isn't supposed to explore the game in one day, a new player is supposed to explore the game through its missions, its events and many other ways for some time atleast. When this new player reaches a respected amount of levels/experience, he/she will have a global idea of the various regions in the game, therefore an overall idea of where are the best items are sold.

Its not like new players wont explore the area. Once they see a cool wep, travel to a vendor, chances are they'll look around and chances are they'll end up doing the missions which kinda force them to move around.

Actually as a new player thats exactly what I did when I started off as a bh. However we cannot speak for every player since we're only two people

So this is my understanding of your viewpoint:
"only people who spent hours searching every world for every shop deserve to have the weapons they so desire, If you don't take time out of your days to look for items in a game
then you don't deserve them".

They already have to do a ton of battles just to afford the items, now you want them to waste time painstakingly searching every shop in the game?

Having a shop like this will also encourage people to do more battles to get more credits so they can buy this "Super cool item I never even knew was in the game, must have it!"

Thats the idea @AQW and it would also just save a ton of time and mistakes. Some players buy an item thinking that its the coolest weapon the game has to offer. Yet, lo and behold, they end up encountering another item AFTER they spend 20k credits. I can say this about Dragons Breath and the Dark Varium Blaster, both amazing guns that I wish I had previously encountered or at least seen before.

It is the case for most new players, I'm not talking about players who have level 40 accounts and started playing with a new alt, as such players are aware of the many methods to obtain a huge amount of credits in short time (missions, NPCs, codes...).
New players usually have a closed mind, they start off in central station and they remain there for a time, until ofcourse they are experienced enough to visit the various regions in the game through missions or events. Look at the last event of deuce, do you think they have placed him in the old central station for fun or by accident? Before deuce's arrival, there were hardly any players hanging around there.
They have putted Deuce there to show to the players that game is vast, and you never know what you can find when you explore it.

You don't have to spend hours and hours searching for items, I said more than once that playing missios/events/wars allows you to explore the game, that's hitting 2 birds with one stone. When wasteland war comes, players will visit that region to participate in the war, while they are at it, they will visit various places of that region to discover it while going to different objectives. Therefore, exploring the game doesn't necesserily mean it is an independent task of other daily tasks a player tend to do.

@TBK Good idea, my low level friends try to find the cool weps too. It's a good idea, and @Machaar needs to stop shooting down everything just because he's "experienced." Of course we know where weps are, but other people don't, and may want to see it, and the size of it.
