Is there any way we can make it so Blocked users can not read what you post. This way they can not try to defame you when you are trying to make valid points.

No. Even if we could, if they were particularly determined, they could circumvent this by logging out and read your posts as a guest.

If it seems like it's just a disagreement in a discussion, you may well just ignore them or attempt to resolve the conflict through PM (assume good faith until proven otherwise! See this thread). On the other hand, harassment, flaming, and attacking other users is a serious issue. If the problem is persistent or they're being intentionally nasty, then you should report them to a member of the forum staff as delineated in the User Interaction section of the Universal Forum Rules, who should be able to handle the situation.
