I know this might be an old suggestion, but could it be possible to give phase achievements (ie. Beta Tester, Gamma Tester, etc) to characters that participated in a given phase if they don't already have it? As silly as it sounds, some are missing the achievement for the phase in which they created their character because they failed to claim it while it was available. I know that the purpose of putting the achievment in the shop rather than automatically awarding every character with it was to weed out those weren't actually active in the phase, but this caused a number of players to miss it because as a new player, they did not know anything about achievments, especially since in older phases there weren't many achievments obtainable at low levels.

I don't know if it is possible, but I feel like it would be fair to at least give the achievment for the phase in which a character was created in for those that don't already have it. But if a character has a gap in their phase achievments (for example, they have Beta and Delta but not Gamma) they shouldn't get anything because they must have missed the achievment due to being legitimately inactive during that phase.

On another note, I know this might not be possible either, but I think it would be reasonable to give the Year of the Dragon achievment (available via any varium purchase between 11/5/10-1/28/11) for those who purchased varium between 10/15/10-11/4/10 similar to how Epic Supporter achievements were given to people who made puchases in the month of November. 10/15/10 was the date that the Ghoul Cannon/Spectral Blaster promotion was released, but three weeks later, the Year of the Dragon achievment was added as an addition to the package. In other words the packages between 10/15/10-11/4/10 and 11/5/10-11/19/10 were identical except the latter date range included the achievement, so it would be reasonable in my opinion to give the achievment for purchases made in the former date range as well. Again, I don't know if this is possible or if everyone agrees this is fair, but just thought I would bring this up.

They should just let the rares be rares and not dredge up the past. It's a slippery slope, NW kinda gave in and brought back some of the infernal war rares for people who could have bought them at the time, BUT didn't, now here we are.

What's next? There were no payment methods available for my country during the founder promotion, but I bought varium as soon as they added more payment methods (which was during beta promotion and I purchased multiple of that promotion as well). Can I get Founder armor now?

Please leave the rares alone. :)

Infernal weapons were not correctly tracked in the buyback shop. People who had the rares did not get them back, that is why NW made this fix for people who bought varium during the war.

I had an armor that I didn’t get back in my buyback shop, and now I have it.

Yes. If we want rares to be rares, then the buyback shop shouldn’t be a thing. It is also unfair for people who bought weapons not to get them since the buyback shop did come back. This is similar to the thing about if you bought one promo like dbii you could get other promos since it was in the date time frame. They didn’t track for all promos, just the varium purchase, so you y’all think that no one should get their promos back?

@.Lord Ginger. Yes, I read the forums. And now you have access to 4 other rares as well, which you did not buy originally. Or did you?

Edit: It's perfectly fine that you got your armor back, but because of that, 4 other rares had to be made available to you as well. If we start bringing back certain rares, how many other rares will be brought back with them indirectly? That's what I'm saying.

@Lord Ginger I've never begged for a rare or achievement I haven't owned in my entire life. Buy back shop I personally don't mind since you're just getting back items you've owned before and many players were getting back items from help team either way.

The only thing I’d support would be the achievement, but no rare items associated with it.

But people not getting weps they had is also bad

Now lets just hit the domino effect on the Year of the dragon achievement. Lets say you give the achievement to anyone that qualifies for it under NDB's conditions. Now you got the next person making a thread, saying "hold up, I bought the Ghoul cannon promo twice, just to get that achievement, I think I deserve a refund." As I said, a slippery slope.

Yeah I can see that... maybe not a good idea to bring those things linked to varium back.

What’s your opinion about the phase achievements though?

Yea, I get the whole "you snooze you lose" argument. I suppose that's always been the reason why they've refused to patch up a character's phase achievments. But then again, creating a buy back shop has always faced similar critism as well. You sell a weapon, then that should be on you, even if it was a mistake.

As for the Year of the Dragon achievment, I can understand why giving that to characters under these conditions could be controversial, but I didn't think it would hurt to bring it up.

I think if you legitimately played during a given phase then it's fair that you should have the achievment associated with that phase regardless of the reason why you may have not claimed it. Not trying to sound like a beggar. I don't see how it's much different than the buy back shop since if you legitimately owned a weapon then you can buy it back regardless of the reason why you sold it.

I had a sneaking suspicion that the buyback shop was going to make a nice mess (http://forums2.battleon.com/f/fb.asp?m=22335149 lol). It's now going to be an excuse for bringing everything back. You offer them a finger and they rip your entire arm off.

Can't wait to see what becomes of gender change. It seems like it could be simple enough, but I know they've always been avoiding it because of the messy armors.

This argument came up even when the Year of the Dragon achievement was released. I'm pretty sure they even gave it to people who bought varium one week before its release and they said that's as far back as they were going to go. (or something along those lines)

But I get it. With how active NW is being right now, this is your best chance to get all these things taken care of. I'd probably be bothered by it too, if I missed the beta tester achievement because of not knowing about it.
