I suggest a fame all button on the screen - no need to click names and no worries.

You could take this a step further and add in the settings an auto-fame option. When turned on anyone you meet will receive a fame from you including out of battle.

Its a good idea if you don't want to be clicking everyone all the time. However if a 'fame all' botton is added what would be fame then? In my opinion it wouldn't be fame anymore, it would be just a count of how many people you meet.
