Hello. I figured I would just write out a few ideas that popped into my brain here and there based on the current game mechanics. For now I have 3 ideas, but may add more over time. I've made a few suggestions eons ago but I've decided to write up a few more based on my recent renewed interest for the game. I'll make a post below for each suggestion so I can edit in anything to the ideas based on feedback and constructive criticism (open and welcome to it). I'm not good with numbers, but I'm going to be articulating what the main ideas are.

EDIT: The other 2 ideas I am currently mulling over and thinking about.

Suggestion: Wobblefete Armor (Backlash Armor)

Main Idea: An armor that essentially functions similar to the Dreadfiend guest, but instead of you attacking, you skip a turn. The attack lost would be converted into some sort of backlash effect that could be potentiated with the normal allowances to the armor to make a strong backlash effect (at the expense of MRM/some resistance). It could have a skill where it could increase the BTH of the monster.
Art: Wobuffet-like art and when hit it wobbles back and forth. I can see it even being a fusion of the Xyfrag green jelly thing and Wobuffet the pokemon with some chicken drumsticks floating in the gunk for true comedic flavor (pun intended)

EDIT: Open to element suggestions. I would imagine this would be a neutral lean armor, but to maximize the effect, it would be fun if it was FO or MO.

EDIT2:

Based on some helpful feedback from CH4OT1C!, I decided to change the original idea. I don't want to sacrifice a whole turn of attacking to create some unbalanced 10k damage sort of a thing. It was meant to be more along the lines of sacrificing a turn to be able to do 700-1k in backlash per every 400-500 damage received. It wouldn't be too balanced though.

So to revisit it, I think this would work better:

Wobblefete Armor Set V2:

-20% of damage in melee+lowered MRM for backlash effect+damage (MC would also go into backlash)
-Skill would use SP to boost monster BTH in exchange for backlash CHANCE potence
-Water FO so that it can fill that backlash niche (if backlash becomes a thing). It can be any element but thematically this makes sense.
-Standard resists for Water FO armor
-Backlash damage would be water element

With it would be a weapon, inspired by Wobuffet's tail (Artistically). It would have the following effect:
-Convert 20% of damage in melee to backlash potence
-Accurate lean weapon

I hope this is much better for to work with. Again I'm open to suggestions :D

EDIT3:

I feel like this should evolve to be a full set. With CH4OT1C!'s permission, I wanted to use his shield suggestion as the shield for my set:

quote:

Slime Barrier
MC Water shield that heals your HP based on the damage your foe deals.

Price: 24,205,166
Sellback: 12,102,583
Location: Limited-Time Shop

M/R/M:
Water: -26%

Effect:
- MC effect is used to heal you whenever your foe hits you. This heal is equivalent to 5/1.4*([DamageIntake]/([Player HP]/20))% of your foe's attack. For example, a Level 150 Player with 0 END took a hit of 500 damage from a monster. As a result, you would heal:

500*(0.05/1.4*(500/(2958/20))) = 60.3hp.

Appearance: A ball of blue slime!
Description: This shield, made out of an unknown squishy substance, has the ability to absorb some of the force of any attack you endure. It will then use the energy it stored to heal you based on the damage done!

The pet for this set would be the following:

Pompadoro!
-Art: It would be like Wynaut but using the elements of Xyfrarg in a cute package.
-Toggle between ranged water damage form w/ 5% extra damage (MC) or an water elevuln attack (much like woolzard/deatharrows cat/etc.)

Misc: Spirit Coat
-Art-Translucent liquid film glob shaped like a coat
-Effect- +50 CHA/+50 LUK with the MC paying for an SP version of mana trap that triggers when an SP attack does damage to you.

FSB: A variation of Mana Trap when all set items are equipped that deals water damage.

This looks like a really cool backlash set now that we've got the pet and misc. Maybe some sort of healing spell/skill might be useful?

@CH4OT1C! I think a cool take on that would be the following:

Wobble Bubble Pop (Spell) : A water based version of Your Body Heals at the Speed of Light. MC instead goes toward a regen effect similar to Frosval Merc's Regen Factor.

Ranger Garb

Notes:
-When equipped, the armor would display Arrow Counters (denoted by an arrowhead symbol). At the start of every battle, the counter resets to 20 arrow counters.
-All of these effects would only be possible with a 100% proc bow-type weapon
-M/R/M is such that Range defense is low, Magic is normal, and Melee is high
-Standard Resists for Neutral Lean armor

Title Ability- Ranger's Guile
- If you class title is Ranger, then you gain +5% LukY damage to all attacks with 100% proc ranged bows
As ranger, you know how to aim at things with your bow and arrow...right?

Level 0- Fledgling Archer
-If you use 100 % proc ranged bows, you gain deal +5% LukY chance

Poison Arrow (Toggle/Mutually Exclusive w/ Paralyzing Arrow)

Level 2-Aim (Open Menu with the following)
-Uses 5 arrow counters
-Do a regular attack with a chance to decrease one of the following stats by 5 (up to a max of -20 for the stats) and up to 10% for HP/MP/SP for 10% Melee/Ranged to inflict this for 9999 turns.

Level 8-Archer's Bane
-If a ranged attack deals damage to you, you deal X amount of void damage to the enemy

Level 9-Aim Weakness
-Uses 10 arrow counters. Deals elem vuln damage to the enemy (to max of 110%). Matches element of weapon equipped.

-If >10 gold, you gain +25% LukY Strike Change
-If >100 gold, you gain +25% LukY Strike Damage
-If >1000 gold, you gain a chance to inflict Bleed
-If > 10000 gold, you gain a chance to inflict +7.5% damage
-If > 100000 gold, you gain +20 BtH
-If > 1000000 gold, you gain a chance to inflict spiritual seed

I just wanted to put out the skeleton of the suggestion. I may update the numbers to better reflect something that is more balanced and appropriate to the game without it being game breaking, but I hope this serves as a scaffolding of sorts for any possible ranger class if one were to come out :) Constructive criticism is appreciated and welcome.

EDIT2: I am still tweaking the numbers, so these are subject to change. Any feedback is welcome.

Ranger Garb V2

***Thanks to Chaotic for the suggestions on number and grouping/organizing the skills in a better way***

-When equipped, the armor would display Arrow Counters (denoted by an arrowhead symbol). At the start of every battle, the counter resets to 40 arrow counters. After every battle it resets back to 40 arrow counters. The cap is 40 arrow counters.
-All of these effects would only be possible with a 100% proc bow-type weapons.^1
-M/R/M is such that Range defense is high, Magic is normal, and Melee is low**
-Standard Resists for Neutral FD armor**

Title Ability- Ranger's Guile
- If you class title is Ranger, then you gain *1.75 LS Rate

Level 0-Quiver Reload
-1/turn limited quickcast. Pay X SP to gain 40 arrow counters.

Level 1-Basic Aeronomics: (Toggle between these)

1. Punching Glove Aero-+25% damage and converts to Melee (5 charges)
2. Normal Aero-Deals standard range damage (costs no charges)
3. Magic Aero- Deals +25% damage and converts to Magic (5 charges)
4. Vortex Aero (undead ranger skill)- Deals +25% Ranged Damage (5 charges)

Level 2- Aim
1. Aim MP- Attack foe's MP x1.5 damage (costs 10 charges)
2. Aim SP-Attack foe's SP x1.125 damage (costs 10 charges)

Level 3-Ranger's Skill
-+50 DEX toggle for appropriate SP amount

Level 4-Doubleshot
-Gain automatic and permanent celerity with Elemental Disempowerment All (-50% damage to all weapon element damage done/can only be used with 100% proc ranged weapons or spears)^2

Level 5-Summon Rangerino
-Uses SP to either deal ranged wind damage or toggle to pay SP to replenish arrow counters (5 arrow charges/turn)

Using Chaotic's formula: 12*(0.5+0.5*[Cha]/[VStat]

***Subject to change guest. I am checking on Discord to see if I can get more Robina lore so I can suggest a worthy sidekick that works with the Lore. Suggestions to my suggestion are always welcome :D

Level 6-Close Quarters Combat Stance^1^2
-Change from lean from FD with High Range Defense to FO with high melee defense w/ standard resists. Spears can be used and receive the *1.75 LS Rate and only Basic/Advanced Aeronomics can be used with spears. Locked to spears in FO only.

Level 7- Advanced Aeronomics (toggle between these)
1. Bomb Aero- Use 15% of Range into chance to inflict Def Loss (to equipped weapon element)- 10 charges
2. Poison Aero- Use 15% of Ranged damage into chance to inflict Poision (to equipped weapon element)-10 charges
3. Paralysis Aero-Use 20% of Ranged damage into change to inflict Paralysis-10 charges
4. Normal Aero-Use normal Ranged attack. No charges used.

Level 8-Archer's Bane
-When hit by Ranged Damage, do 2.5/1.4*[RangedCompensation]% Backlash damage (thanks to Chaotic for the formula)

Level 9-Master Aeronomics (toggle between these)
1. Wing Aero- +5 BtH & deal 85/90 damage (on top of weapon damage lean)
2. Loaded Aero- -5 BtH & deal 85/80 damage (on top of weapon damage lean)
3. Normal Aero- Do standard damage

Level 10- Golden Aero

**Note that this is NOT going to take into account toggles selected and will only work one per battle. Only the effects below apply to the skill

-For this one it is really tough to come up with a good final attack. I decided to re-tool it to the following and go from there:
For the monster's gold and for 40 arrow charges, unleash the following.

-+75% Ranged Damage
-10% damage into chance to inflict Def Loss (to equipped weapon element)
-10 % damage into chance to inflict Poison (to equipped weapon element)
-10% damage into chance to inflict Paralysis
-10% damage into chance to inflict Fear
-+10 BtH

***This attack is still being revised due to the weirdness of gold and the like.

My goal for this attack is to incorporate Robina's mantra of giving gold back to the monsters while also piling on the hurt.
Literally, the monster will not have any idea what hit them but will have the amount of gold they usually carry around because of it.

Dracomancer Suggestion: The 1st half of the Dracomancer suggestion, done in collaboration with CH4OTIC!!! Thanks to him for the numbers, clarification, and guidance on crafting this awesome suggestion. I put a lot of love into Dragon Wings because it is my favorite, aside from Half-Dragon Shapeshift. You can visit the 2nd half of the skills in CH4OTIC's thread here.

Dracomancer Armour

Example Tier:2
Level: 150 Mastercraft (scales)
PowerLvl: 153

Price: 96,820,665
Sellback: 48,410,332
Location: Dracomancer Class shop

***Full Compression Fire/Wind Armor w/ standard MRM/resists. Reference Numbers Provided***

Combat Modifiers
Melee: 50
Ranged: 50
Magic: 50

Elemental Modifier:
Fire: 41
Water:88
Wind:41
Ice:88
Earth:88
Energy:88
Light: 88
Dark: 88

Attack is 1 hit w/ normal BtH lean.

Effects:
- You gain Armor Lean x1
- This armour comes with a variety of armour skills:

Class Title ability: Draconic Might
The strength and charisma of the dragonborn form the basis for the draconic forms you wield!
- Causes all Melee and Magic attacks to use STR/CHA for damage/stats/bonuses. Similar to Force of Night on Werepyre.

1). Dragon Breath
The flames of dragons roar and crackle, turning your enemies to ash… with spicy ketchup!
Cost: 392/490 SP
- A 2-hit fire skill that uses STR/CHA for stat bonuses (outside of Draconic might)
- Irrespective of weapon type, damage is converted to Ranged
- The attack takes -15% damage and has a [HitsConnected]/[HitsAttempted]% chance of attempting to inflict your foe with Burn*. Your foe can resist at a -20 bonus:

PowerLvl vs MonsterLvl
Player CHA vs Monster CHA
PlayerLUK vs MonsterLUK

The spicy ketchup in your dragon breath burns your enemy!

2). Dragon's Heart
Fueled by a magical core, the heart of the dragonkin infuse you with more energy than before!
- Each turn, you heal an additional 5% melee in SP (19.8SP, rounded stochastically)

3). Dracospirit
Joined with the spirit of dragons, you gain their ancient strength and earn the respect of others!
- Toggle ability. Pay 49 SP per turn to boost your STR and CHA by +35 each

4). Dragon Wings
Dragons wings create gusts of winds as they fly into the air, and you can use it to avoid earthbound attacks!
Cost: 392/490SP
- A 3-hit Wind skill that uses STR/CHA for stat bonuses (outside of Draconic Might)
- This skill deals -10% damage. Afterwards, you gain "Flighty", a renamed Defence Boost (12.2*[Compensation], Earth Element, 1 round.

- Balance-wise: 10% of a skill = 20% melee and a monster turn is worth 140% melee. This means the MRM boost should reflect a reduction of 20/1.4% monster damage (14.29%). This equates to a defence boost of 12.2*[Compensation] MRM

5). Dragon Tail
Your increasing aptitude for dracomancy allows you to generate a strong tail that trips up your foes!
Cost: 392/490SP
- Skill follows weapon element and type, using STR/CHA for stat bonuses (outside of Draconic Might)
- Has a -5bth lean (deals *85/80 damage)
- Deals -10% damage to have a 50*[Hits]% chance to attempt to inflict your foe with Offbalanced of an appropriate power for 1 turn. Your foe can resist at a +0 bonus*:

PowerLvl vs MonsterLvl
PlayerSTR vs MonsterDEX
PlayerLUK vs MonsterLUK

*Your opponent flips the dragon coin of balance… AND IT IS TAILS!!

So I was inspired by something to come up with the following:

Dried Fin of Narwhal

An ice/water clone of Dread Fiend of Nulgath that shifts elements at random but instead of applying the damage boost to the basic attack it shifts the boost to the backlash damage.

When I find numbers, I shall edit this post, but for now, I didn't want to let this one go. Thanks to Khing for the inspiration for this. I think this would make a great April Fool's pet...

EDIT1: So the elements would randomly switch every turn. So it would be *1.1 for the compensation (at least) and the backlash formula would be multiplied by at least this much instead of the standard ice/water attack. The pet would have a toggle between both of these modes.

Appearance- A dried fish fin with a unicorn horn-shaped churro attached to wrapped by paper with Loco's face insignia on it.

Dragonslayer Class Suggestion

Dragonslayer Suggestion: This is just my image of what I had for Dragonslayer along with Galanoth's build from the Kyrie quest. I think it makes sense thematically along with other stuff for Dragonslayer I've looked up. I feel like Galanoth is Batman with a healthy distaste of dragons. So this is meant to be a Trap Tank Build (STR/DEX/END). I will also make a Golden Dragonslayer re-do with a focus on undead dragons.

Dragonslayer Carapace

Example Tier:2
Level: 150 Mastercraft (scales)
PowerLvl: 153

Price: 96,820,665
Sellback: 48,410,332
Location: Dragonslayer Class shop

***Neutral Armor w/ standard MRM/resists. Reference Numbers Provided***

Combat Modifiers
Melee: 50
Ranged: 50
Magic: 50

Elemental Modifier:
Fire: 59
Water:59
Wind:59
Ice:59
Earth:59
Energy:59
Light: 59
Dark: 59

Attack is 1 hit w/ normal BtH lean.

Effects:
- You gain Armor Lean x1
- This armour comes with a variety of armour skills:

Class Title Ability: Dragonslayer Basic Training
Galanoth's basic training has allowed you to use your strength, dexterity, and endurance to maximize your dragonslaying!
- Causes all Melee and Magic attacks to use STR/DEX/END for damage/stats/bonuses. Similar to Force of Night on Werepyre.

1).Dragonslayer's Blessing
The dragonbane ore in your armor is weak to all but dragons, which is where it truly shines in battle!
- Causes a downtrigger on the armor, causing you to deal *.8 damage and you to receive *1.1 damage when fighting against anything not a dragon
-vs. Dragonkin, it causes you to deal *1.1 damage and you receive *.9 damage
-vs. Dragons, it causes you to deal *1.25 damage and you to receive *.85 damage

2). Poison Dragon
Coat your weapon with a homemade dragonbane poison! It costs «» SP per round to keep the blade coated.]

-Toggle Ability. Pay X SP. Mix of old formula with additional 10% of Melee to effect for greater poison potency***

3). Intermediate Dragonslayer Training
After enduring more of Galanoth's training, you feel stronger and sharper!

- Toggle ability. Pay 50 SP per turn to boost your DEX/END by 35.

4). Anti-Dragon Caltrops

This device allows for Dragonslayers to get the drop on dragons charging you, slowing their advance!

-A clone of Samukematsuri Caltrops that is a quickcast version, with the appropriate penalty to damage, and an additional trigger.
-*.75 against other creatures, *1.1 against dragonkin, and *1.25 damage against dragons (approximate numbers)
-OR- locked against all other monsters except those tagged as dragonkin or dragon with an appropriate damage boost
-Goal is to have a good enough downtrigger that allows for good damage against dragonkin and dragons
-Deals Melee damage
-10% of Melee to effect for chance to cause Fragile (-X END)
-This would be dealt as Void damage, so would probably take a penalty for that as well...
-Costs X SP

5). Summon Draykwing

Call a loyal fire drayk to fight by your side! He must have megdragon blood as his breath can deal nonelemental damage to Dragons!

Would keep Draykwing intact, except I would code for his damage to come from DEX+END instead of CHA (1st of its kind guest if possible)

6). Slayer Mana Cores

Cast a wall of floating mana cores made of dragonbane and proprietary dragonslayer runes to set a trap against magical dragon attacks
-Quickcast clone of Mana Trap (triggers only on Magic attack/Uses SP)
-Deals Magic Damage
-*.75 against other creatures, *1.1 against dragonkin, and *1.25 damage against dragons (approximate numbers)
-OR- locked against all other monsters except those tagged as dragonkin or dragon with an appropriate damage boost
-10% of Melee to effect that may cause Enfeebled (lose -X INT)
-Deals void damage so would probably take a damage penalty for that as well...
-Costs X SP

7. Dragon Fang Spirit Channeler

Use the fangs embedded within your armor to channel the dragon's spirit and use it as your own
-Quickcast SP trap similar to Mana Trap
-Deals Ranged Damage
-*.75 against other creatures, *1.1 against dragonkin, and *1.25 damage against dragons (approximate numbers)
-OR- locked against all other monsters except those tagged as dragonkin or dragon with an appropriate damage boost
-10% of Melee to effect that may cause Broken Spirit (-X% of SP cannot be used/similar to Fragile)
-Costs X SP

8. Dragonslayer's Might

After being exposed to so many dragons, you develop a targeted tolerance to their attacks over time!
-Similar to Dragon Hide armor/ Cyclops Eye, resistance decreased by a max of 15% to element Dragonslayer is hit by

9. Slayer's Enduring Tenacity
Your growing endurance as a Dragonslayer grants you a bonus to your strength!
-Boosts damage relative to END (i.e. max of *1.2 per 250 END)
-Costs X SP

10. Dragon Buster
Draw upon the power of all of your training and alliances to deal a devastating 5-hit attack!
-5 hit attack with 4 hits (like Dragonstrike Strike) + guaranteed hit of Call Forth the Fire Dragon
-The first hit is a Normal Attack with trigger boosts described above. You heal HP equal to 80% of the damage inflicted, rounded normally.
-The second hit is a Normal Attack. This damages the opponent's MP.
-The third hit is a Normal Attack. This damages the opponent's SP.
-The fourth hit deals a normal attack with 15% melee for chance to inflict Crippled
-The fifth hit is Call For the Fire Dragon, which does more damage relative to how much Dracomancer is leveled up
-Only difference is that all 5 hits are guaranteed and the bonuses are swept and up to date with numbers.

This is my revised take on it. I think I wanted to leave a lot of things the same with a few elements re-arranged to maximize the potency of being a Dragonslayer with the thematics. I may need some help with the numbers though because they are not my forte.
