Just a question I've been wondering about. The trade off between Melee and Magic weapons is that Magic weapons have lower average damage to compensate for the main damage of a magic build being Spells. This implies that Hybrids, who have both STR and INT, should use STR-based weapons to get the most out of normal attacks when their MP runs low. How does this change for WerePyres, who are able to have all attacks based off both STR and INT? Are they now equal, or should Melee weapons still be preferred unless a certain weapon effect is needed?

Magic weapons get boosted to melee weapon damage in werepyre, so melee vs. magic is equal.

However, weapon effects are often stronger on magic weapons to compensate. The bloodmage and bloodzerker blades for example do +25% instead of +20% in magic mode, so in this instance magic mode is more optimal.

Melee weapons would still be preferred so you can do more damage in non-werepyre armours, but in werepyre they are equal.
