Yes, I am ready for this. I want to say something about steamraider, and others. those are bad. as one of them and it is actually insanely good, but I kind of disagree with this stuff. it should BE good on all instead of 'NOT' one.
We are very competitive to get 15 top, I noticed that mostly we spend over 300k to 600k for 15 top. Please make those better.

Someone got idea. He said why not we can get 10k ztoken tier

I have gotten top 15/25 in 2 contests, Veywild and Desert Raider. While Veywild I thought was great, I was a little disappointed with Desert Raider.

I just want these donation contests to give some unique rewards. I remember back in the day we had those comet weapons with auto-hit ability.

Veywild armor was a worthy set. So thank you AQ Staff for allowing our input on those rewards. That said, I'm ready to go with over 3 Million Z-Tokens

Also, no FD please. :)

I don't know how to feel about the spirit that is going on in this thread. The donation contests de jure have become akin to an auction rather than a donation. While it is true that what you pay out while donating also goes to other players, the means of donating undeniably are most of the time the tokens we have purchased have come largely through buying them. I just think it's a little too presumptive to demand something ahead of time like that when the whole point of the donation is to be charitable at that. Furthermore demanding these kinds of things has the potential to increasingly lock away elements of the game in a manner which is increasingly unhealthy for basic enjoyment. It's already known through the other rare revival/restoration thread that there's a great demand for accessibility of mechanics and features and this thread seems anathema to that.

Donation contests already obligate AQ to yet more precedents which will affect its ability to long term develop and create experiences for the broader audience in favor of keeping promises to the very few whom feel it is their right to dictate what should and shouldn't happen. Since it is a donation, I would like to think the people donating still have in mind the main objective to be generous to other players so that they too can experience the game more by means of others whom are generous enough to grant that. I do remain faithful that AQ will not do too much to make donations yet another binding precedent, yet this all makes me pause.

@PD I understand that but I am sorry, and I'll say welcome to whale, if you are whale then you'll be fine.

Rest assured, the donation contests do not in any way constitute an invitation for AQ development to be performed or balanced by premium plebiscite. Not only is there no binding precedent set, but that there was a call feedback during the last contest only sets any sort of precedent to begin with for the very same circumstance. There is no slippery slope going beyond this.

This is also not taking development time away from every other week in the year, nor displacing balance/quality of life fixes. Having been with the team for a little while now, I can assure you that these take a while to arrive because of how time consuming every aspect of a development schedule is. Not because of any specific week with an item set. In an imaginary year without donation contests, it would still be next to impossible to try to fit everything we want to do into the schedule.

Popular demand, be it from Adventurers, Guardians, players who purchase Z-Tokens, or players who make no side purchases, does not control design direction nor balance for the game. We do keep an eye on the desires of the players, and I personally keep some notes on both these and equipment gaps, but we have our own priorities as well.

Make it FD.

Actually, on 2nd thought, I'd be down with this if Defensive builds get some much needed love as a viable option before the drive happens :)
However, as of now, it's only FO builds that are the clear choice for most of the top 15 donators imo

Defensive builds really deserve more core items that aren't locked behind the exclusivity of a Donation Contest. I've been loving the recent love that dodge builds have been getting (it coinciding with the extra characters has finally convinced me to make a character with it in mind), and other defensive builds should get the same treatment.

On the topic of Donation Contests, I thought the Veywild Set set a precedent that the staff would take into account player suggestions for the Donation Contest set items. It was mostly received very favorably for its unique and synergistic effects without being massively overpowered or best-in-slot (outside of the pet).

I suggest to create a new Poll or a new thread before the contest starts or after the contest ended
about what kind of effects(auto-hit/Status Conditions), element, item (armor/weapon/guest), etc.

Or, take out one of a great suggestion from Primate Murder's Suggestion Thread or someone else?

Then, if needed, people can discuss to improve it.

Of course, I just generally asked them if they are ready for this and little feedback about stuff and others.

^LOL! I personally think they should only take the ideas of the Group of 15 like they did for Veywild (which was overwhelmingly for FO) as it ended up being some of the best Donation reward items to date. That system worked out great and was the first time the player community was actually able to help Hollow + Staff shape the effects for the rewards. They won't cater to only 1 person's view when deciding this as it's not a "personal" custom-item reward but rather for those who contribute as a GROUP donating Z-Tokens back to the community. That said, AS BEFORE, looking forward to helping the Group decide the effects this year. :)

I just hope the set will be very ugly and have nothing to do with dragons.
Maybe MD/MO toggle as the skill on the armor.
Shield could let you regain some MP when your int stat is 0.
Pet should heal the monster.
Misc should make you look stupid.
