hey,
Do you know if there will ever be a translation into other languages in the future?
or where can I Send a translation request to my language?
Most of the game is built on stories, and those who do not know English so much miss out on most of the main points...
I know it's a lot to translate but maybe set up a special group of veteran users to help with that ... the more the better.
Thanks for you time to read ant reaply.
Tal.

First of all, no need to bold every bit of text. Second, the tone of the title and the topic alone sounds more of a Q&A than a full-blown discussion, so this might be moved to Q&A thread.

Now, onto the matter at hand. As far as the community knows, there is no plan to do a translation for DF. To expand upon this, let us look at the limitations:

1. Training – you will need a dedicated team to translate and quality assure that the resulting translated texts are grammatically sound and spelled accurately. You cannot just let one person do the translation and QA. Don’t even get me started on the thinking that will be required to translate game-specific terms (e.g., class names).
2. Programming – Unless you want to go beyond Spanish or Tagalog among other potential languages that this community is aware of as their base of characters are derived from the English set, it will require extra work to make sure text boxes will fit the dialogues. Let’s say you want it in Japanese. That will require a combination of Kanji, Hiragana, and Katakana. Kanji alone has pretty teeny tight segments in the more complex characters, so such a scenario will demand a different font size. That alone might screw up the appearance of the text if speech bubbles were to be kept the same size through all possible languages.

While the first limitation is relatively easier to overcome as it has the same base as to those whose jobs are in the subtitling business (skill-based), the second has more challenges than I have already written. Perhaps it might have room once all 3 chapters/books of DF are done, but realistically it will not be a feasible endeavor. Not with the Hard Mode already being backburned ad infinitum.

Unfortunately, DragonFable isn't quite set up to make translation something feasible.

While it would be very cool to have translations, it would take an insanely incredible amount of resources, and basically remaking the entire game.

Hey.
My English improved greatly over the years, but I faced the same difficulty 6-8 years ago.
As Verly said, in-game translations won't happen. The game just hasn't the resources.
maybe... Well, it's not the perfect solution, but anyway: a semy-official translations, here on the wiki page of the quest. And of course, only for new quests (otherwise, it'll be far too much effort). ?
Perhaps I even could help with your language, if I guessed it right according to your name;)
