This likely borderlines as a suggestion, and may well be moved, where it will be buried amongst a sea of others. My hope is because I feel it relates to development and feedback, with potential huge changes on the horizon, this idea occurred to me.

I have no doubt there is a lot of testing behind the scenes on staff accounts and anyone else involved in one way or another with game development. But on very few occasions, have I seen a change with an asterisk with a "subject to change" notated. Yeah, armor leans idea of the past and present (spellcaster) have had this, but what else?

So why not take veterans of the game who will give real, honest feedback (not placate based on their character, friendship with staff, or otherwise have ulterior motives for giving less than honest feedback) and give them access to a Beta server with proposed changes where they can simply test ideas. I don't know how much time staff spends on testing, where they can be spent more on bugfixes, content creation, or other proposed ideas) Fleshed out ideas that's been tested and approved by everyone involved could then be pushed to the normal servers. Imagine a server with proposed Stat updates such as what's being discussed and select players (would be many) would log into the Beta sever and test the new stats updates, but could log out and back into the normal server and play as normal?

There could be an official thread where these players can post, so that everything discussed is open for everyone to see and try and grasp, rather than someplace else. I wouldn't even be against locking out players who are not members to keep the pipeline unclogged in such threads. This still allows others to read and see whats going on.

Maybe it isn't necessary, or more work and by default that kills it. But wouldn't player feedback based on real results be better than theoretical results?

I'm new to this, but I think that he has a good idea. I'm in if he is. Haven't touched this account in ages, but I found the password and such in my password book. Game testing the overwhelming mechanics being thrown our way, and a non-biased review from actual veterans like me is about as good as it gets.

This would slow down releases so much and likely wouldn't reflect what most people want. If it did exist, everyone selected would need to pass some kind of test proving they understood the current game.
