Hey, I'm looking to take advantage of the bonus % while it lasts for my new character to get them a house set up.

Besides the Sinmaw and Airenal sets I've seen people bring up, are any of the other sets good at all? I was considering the King's Reign set but could use some player feedback

Generally, you should follow the Equipment Guide from the AQ Wikia

That said, the most immediate things you should consider are:

ShieldCakes (6000 Z)
Royal Cake Pet (7500 Z)
Blood Contract (7500 Z)
Zealot's Wraith (2500 Z)
Elemental/Damage Type Booster Moglins (20000 Z)
Buffalot/Poca (when available)/Arcane Amp (6000 Z)

As for Champion Sets, this is going to be rather a biased opinion, but those have been brought up as targets for updates/revamps and so far, most of the player base seems to be in the consensus they aren't really worth their value. Consider getting the above items before you get a Champion Set.

Though without your character page/ID, it's hard to make recommendations. You should link it if you can.

I'll link my new character, the one the package will be for.

Though, it's hard to say what I'm looking for since it's been a long while since I've tried going through with a new character. Basically I'm looking for what's the most worth-while option from the higher tier packages

Just looking at the linked character, it looks like it's a Warrior/Ranger hybrid of some sort? If you *really* want to go for one of the higher tier packages, I'd probably recommend one of the armor transformation packages as those will provide both a weapon and an armor in a single package:

Sinmaw (Energy)
Airenal (Wind)
Akriloth (Fire)
Devouring Scythe (Ice)
Custosilva (Earth)

The Champions seem to be pending an update so it's worth waiting it out for the moment. I recommend if you can, checking out the Golden Giftboxes if you are willing to try your luck and get a few Rare or UltraRare Boxes. If you choose to go this route, you should report back here with your yields and we'll advise you on how to spend your boxes.

It's also worth remembering that DEX isn't necessary for accuracy anymore unless you're planning to be a Ranger going forward. You can these days training DEX as a stat if you're going to become either a mage/warrior and instead use those points on a secondary stat like CHA/LUK/END.

I will say if you are indeed playing out with a new character and you have the items, then I'd highly recommend using the premium gears you can get because monsters these days scale equally to your player level, and premium items also scale to your player level unlike Gold and/or most Z-token items. Otherwise with regular items you'll be finding yourself underpowered compared to modern monsters and will have to regularly update/upgrade your equipment to match enemies in power scaling.

What exactly are the "premium gears"?? I've never heard of that before.

I plan on going for what I guess could be called a Pure Warrior build, with 200STR/DEX/LUX & 150END. Also, when did DEX become irrelevant?

Golden Giftboxes, newer Token Packages and Heromart products that come with codes to redeem items, only certain Token items like those Imbues from the Skill Scrolls Tower of Techniques/ Valencia's Token shop and Zfinity Gauntlets are listed as Lv 0 and scale to player level.

Game Engine 45.73 updated Str/Dex/Int to individually comprise of Melee/Ranged/Magic attack types' stat damage and BtH formulas.

Ok... but if I use a weapon that can toggle between Melee/Ranged, does Dex still count towards that or only projectile attacks??

Each attack type corresponds to one Mainstat in the update, weapons that toggle among types have always been tied to different Mainstat per attack type, the default toggle attack type's Mainstat is not used for other toggles.
