I'm looking at getting the next instalment in the Doomknight Package, and I'm curious what I should spend the incoming DCs on.
From the first package, I've already unlocked the first tier of inventory slots, the Chaosweaver class, and the Class wardrobe (whatever its called), and the storybook collection for the seasonal content.

I was thinking I should attempt to get a chrono class - but I'm not sure which one I should aim for. Preferably something to help with the Inn. Despite my best efforts, I've not been able to clear the fights I've wanted to.
I've been using the Time Killer class in AQW, and seen the way that their SWoT looks and behaves - but I'm not aware of how that translates over to this game in all honesty.

First things first, never translate what a class AQW has that DF has in terms of playstyle, particularly the chronos as AQW's variants are focused on their Rift mechanics to nuke targets to kingdom come. DF's TK and SWoT are fundamentally similar to each other mechanics-wise (pretty much relies on INT as offensive mainstat, requires some setup to access certain skills, and defensively dicey due to having a BDP barrier but no -crit powers), hence I sometimes say that TK is the analog equivalent of SWoT. It all just depends on how willing you are at being technical (SWoT opens up variable scenarios due to how it can compress its CDs despite the skills that significantly screw with opponents having longish CDs, while TK is a bit more braindead) and whether or not the enemy concerned has anti-Extra Action mechanics (in this case TK might be an option).

On the triage of Reforged Chronos relative to their impact on Inn experience, Archi, TK=SWoT is fine, with CZ and AoT mostly odd fillers later on (mostly for spicing up what skillsets you can access, but can live without otherwise), and CM and CC are currently not that much of an investment.

Non-chrono class speaking, you can definitely eye KAA (bit of a mana guzzler, but its DPT more than covers before needing to MP pot) and Pyro (sets up its healing factor faster than Paladin among other things, and the DF YT community has a committed member who demonstrates Pyromancy to practical specialization).

So SWoT would be a valid option then - more versatility with multiple strategies possible, is what I'm getting from your post.

I have Kathool, and the Ice Deathknight (bought on an impulse because I liked Revenant's aaesthetics at the time - still trying to figure out a way to make it viable in the long run, with ice weapons, and maybe Aegis on my team).
In hindsight, I probably should have gone for Pyromancer.

Are... you...
Are you implying Xan has a youtube channel....?

Hahaha, close but not quite. We have this guy instead. He does have non-Pyro vids, but he has more for the aforementioned class (I did try to replicate his Pyro v RnR despite having no access to Ice Scythe shenanigans before eventually prevailing with Astral's KAA vid for the same duo fight).

You are correct on how I describe SWoT, although I would also like to note that it is on the more aggressive side. TK has a blind and -Boost skill that allows it to take cover when its Mage-style BDP barrier is cooling off with the downside that all those defensive options are locked behind its Arbalest system. SWoT's BDP (no reflector capabilities) is ready from the get-go at the expense of nomming its Shadow charges (a small price). Combined with its peek-a-boo fighting style, it can potentially rearm that very shielding before the lack of blinds and -Boosts become apparent.

Fair warning, though. It is a factual truth that DF's SWoT, for all its power, is a notorious lag monster.

Hi there, you can consider checking out my DC spending guide video here

The classes do different things in different games so I wouldn't look at other games as an example. Timekiller is only good for questing/farming in DF, it's not that great for bossing. For bossing, Archivist is the top choice but SWoT is a decent pick up as well

If I get item names wrong I am not at my computer, I am on my phone running errands.

I would recommend you buy the $5 Elemental Unity package and, when a war rolls around, farm defender’s medals to upgrade the Defender’s Dragon necklace, belt, and ring then it (the elemental unity defender) in said order.

Defender’s gear is among the best in the game.

The Level 72 Fierce Dragon Lord helm is a great buy until you get the level 90 helm from Inevitable Equilibrium.

Pyromancer, Kathool Adept, and Chaosweaver are great buys.

When June rolls around, get the dragon scythe.

There is a pretty good helm out right now for December.

If it’s still half-price, the storybook collection is handy at times.

Other than that, I would say do your research. There are great guides out there.

Brilliant!
Thank you for the help everyone! :)
I think the main thing that I'll be getting (when I get the DCs), it'll be either SWoT or the Archivist.
I'm not too keen on Pyromancer, although my hesitation is only for an aesthetic purpose. Maybe I get that using the remains of the DC pile.

I already have One of the multi-element dragon scythes, and I was told way back when that if I have one, then I dont need another. I have Kathool, although, I have no clue how to use it. XP
I use Chaosweaver as my main these days as is.
Already covered on the house items :)
