Hi! I'm an old player returning to have some fun. I've got a character at Level 98, Character ID is 5401114

Need some guidance on what to do!

1. House: I have a Darkovia Mansion Estate worth over 111k Z Tokens. Should I sell it and get the new best house? What will happen to all of my existing buildings if I sell it? Will I have to re-level them?
2. Setup: I was a generalist/all around player, which meant my build was crap. I have a ton of old gear, some of it apparently worth a decent amount of Gold. Any advice on how to re-roll my character? Would love to do a Beastwarrior if that's still a thing, if not a Warrior would be great too.
3. Must-Have Items: My stuff is crazy out of date. What should I be looking to get next?
4. Playing: Where's the best quests to do and best places to farm now?

Thanks!

Welcome back!

1. If you're purely interested in sellback value, you ought to keep your current house. I suspect you bought your house a long time ago and are still on the old value appreciation formula. However, upgrading to a newer estate like Deren or Skycastle has other benefits like increased storage slots, easier access to additional potions and larger estate plots. If you sold your building, you would not have to re-level them up. However buying a new house means you'll have to re-clear the land and re-plot all your old buildings.

2. These days, your build as a Beast Warrior would be 250 STR/CHA/LUK. I Would since you're returning, suggest looking at the Equipment Guide to see what items you'd like to be using. The Player-Guided Wiki in general is also an excellent place to read up and consult about modern AQ. Luckily for you, stat training is now a breeze and you only need to reset your character's stats once and then you can arrange them any way using the new stat trainer interface! Beast Warriors are definitely still a thing because of all the new great pet/guests that make CHA investment a great thing to have.

3. Like the above, the equipment guide will tell you what items are highly recommended to get. Of course you don't have to follow it to a tee, but it'll give you a sense of an idea of how to start off.

4.Inside the aformentioned AQ Wikia, you might want to consult the Leveling Guide. This will tell you the optimal spots to farm in modern AQ.

Of course if you encounter any more issues, feel free to reply in this thread. We'll be eager to help and welcome back to AQ!

Hi there, welcome back! For starters I'd recommend checking out my guides playlist here

You should level up to 150 using the levelling guides before doing anything else. Before you reach max level, anything within 10 levels of you from the shops in battleon will work fine

1. Purely up to you. Personally I would keep them till Black Friday next year before selling it and buying a new House at half the cost (All token items are half-off on BF, sadly you just missed it this year). Yes you have to relevel everything if you sell them

2. For beastwarriors I'd recommend 250 STR, CHA and END/LUK. END for more survivability, LUK for chance to go first and lucky strikes. Not sure when you left the game but DEX is no longer needed for player accuracy unless you're playing ranger

3. One of the videos in my playlist has a top 10 strong but easy to get items in the game. You can check that out. Everything is up to date except the Dragonlord's Will shields which got a nerf but they are still very good for warriors and Purple Rain spell which is no longer worth using IMO since it got a very heavy nerf

4. There's a levelling guide video in the playlist I linked but there's a more updated video from Gibby here. Keep in mind that there are now caps in place so you will no longer be able to level up as fast as you used to

Thank you both! I've definitely got a lot to learn and a ton of gear to buy before I get going.

Looking at things, Beastwarrior might not be my best choice for a build. What's the easiest style to play in terms of knowledge needed and skill in playing the game? Also, what's the easiest style for farming gold and XP? Thanks!

Uhh I don't think any playstyle is particularly "easy" per se. There's lots of things you can do with each different playstyle. With the right equipment, any build is viable and can take down just about anything in the game. The easiest way to farm gold at max level is backlash. That is a very niche playstyle and while it is possible to do it F2P, often times people will use the $100 Doomlight packages for best results. For XP I would say Mage. Generalist's Robes, Sizzler Splosion spell and farming Mighty Shadow Roc house guard. If you don't own a house you can farm Queen Hybee using Destruction Burst spell
