Golden Giftbox Updates:
This month we are focusing on updating some older items that players agreed could use some extra love! This includes updates to:
  • Eye of the Underworld
  • Seraph Calamity
  • Luminous Whiff
  • Winged Sapphire Staff (Upgrade from Rare to UR to match the other staves)
  • Deadly Empress Doll

And be sure to pick up your Megoi Booster Guest as well! This small but powerful champion of the Ether Realm will boost the damage of all of your Wind attacks!


The following prizes will be leaving this week:
  • Legion Glaive
  • Legion's Lantern
  • Call/Summon Legion Ghoul Guest Spells
  • Legion Ghoul Pet
  • Legion Ghoul Faces
  • Legion Overlord Burst/Blast Spells

Memorial Shop - Ivory Power Strider:

Hollow, I thought that Summon/Call Megoi spells would be included...

When I checked the AQW wiki I saw that there was also an Eye of the Underworld Scythe, I wonder if they would add that as a Ranged toggle like what they did with Infinita Staff or maybe perhaps add it as a separate weapon completely.

Indeed, Megoi will be arriving in guest form this week. Thank you for the reminder! Winged Sapphire Staff will also be updated with the other staves, and upgraded from Rare to UR when the release rolls out. The Festive Elf bow clone is scheduled for next month with round 2 of the cross-game GGBs.

The subject of Revenant is actually being discussed while planning out the Resurrection (AKA Defiance) ability on Paladin coming this week.

Revenant and Paragon Plates are next on the GGB update list. There will be a toggle added to the staves, but not for damage types. The toggle will determine which status effect the staves cause to apply when a spell is cast. It is going to be a Friday release this week folks!

Any chance we can get that new starter character misc added to a shop somewhere on Friday? If all your character slots are used currently you need to give one up to get any copies. Issue has since been handled by the later surprise shop addition.

The Ring of Precision Misc item is in both of Robina's Ranged Weapon Shops now.

 The release is live! The Ivory Power Strider weapons are now in the Memorial Shop. The following Golden Giftbox equipment has been updated:

Updated:
  • Eye of the Underworld (Added scaling)
  • Seraph Calamity (Added scaling)
  • Luminous Whiff
  • Winged Sapphire Staff (Now in the Ultra Rare shop)
  • Nekomancer Deadly Empress Doll

    New:
    Megoi Summon and Call Spells

    Everyone's favorite Lorekeeper has leveled up in RL! Please join us in wishing him a Happy Birthday, and stop by the Limited-Time Shop and pick up your own Lorekeeper's Oath! Which has now been updated to include a Ranged form, as well as graphical updates making it easier to identify which element is being used. Also, find a selection of other returning Staff Birthday gear.

    		Great updates!

    My only minor criticism is that I don't like that winged sapphire and seraph calamity both have a burn status, seems like at least winged sapphire should've been something else.

    Furthermore, burpsy's package is still not in ballyhoo, I need access to that shop for some alts.

    		Ever since I suggested Eye of the Underworld, Seraph Calamity, and Winged Sapphire Staff, this is exactly the kind of thing I wanted to see them do. Extremely happy these are no longer magestaves and will see some proper use!

    		All in all, decent updates. Winged Sapphire Staff needs a buff to the regen, it's terrible. That or switch it to SP instead of HP. White Ranger weapons have a nice effect but make it a clickable skill instead of something that's only 20 proc, the RNG makes it bad. Nice to see Neko Doll finally getting a rework. It's a decent option for FD builds now imo

    		Luminous Whiff - 8/10. Choke and defboost are good options. Defboost is too small over too many turns to really make any impression, so you'll need to cast over and over and over to make it stack, and/or use with other defboost items. Overall, good item.

    Calamity- 9/10. Only because of the stack with paladins resplendent surge. Stacks blind very very very fast. Dont really care about the burn effect, although could be ok in Neko.

    Sapphire-3/10. The regen is very very very weak.

    Underworld= 6/10 Only one I didn't have, and still thinking on it. The poison would have been better as the siphon kind. (I understand it would be half potency) The fear, being a stun, isn't really a desired effect tbh. But there are case usages in questing pre-boss. However, I'd bet using it with Necromancers fear would stack nicely.


    Neko doll- 9/10 The burn effect that comes with a damaging skill/turn is ok. Probably isn't bad if you're a Neko. The quick cast spiritual seed is good. The status is something I always wanted to see returned someplace. I just wish that they had added some sort of mini fsb with Neko. But not bad overall.

    Updated Neko's score. Didn't realize the first skill could be stacked endlessly provided enough SP. Wow.

    		Amazing update on existing ggb. Would love to see more reworks to come as some have really great art. I would love to see rework on older ztoken gears too.
