Frostval Gift Delivery Finale
Guardian Gifts Are Opening Soon!

The gift delivery mission is nearly at an end and that means the Guardian Giftboxes will soon be opening!

Make sure you head over to the Guardian Tower and pick up your giftboxes as we wait to see what's inside at the end of the Frostval Gift Delivery! This year's theme for where the guardian's gift lies, prepare to unwrap a frosty surprise! Do not delay as the Guardian Giftboxes will leave the shop in the Guardian Tower at 11:59PM EST on January 2nd!

 It's been so long since I last log on to this game, let's see if this old bones is still remembered, and see if I can help a bit

Edit: So much has changed, also noticed this Momentum thing, looks like my old suggestion from like 10yrs ago got implemented, sadly I assume it resets when I log off

 @King Darxonic Good to see you too, glad there are still some familiar names I recognize ever since I retired from full-time warring like a decade ago. Just here trying to help out in the delivery so we can enjoy opening the GB as soon as possible, can't say I'm like my prime from before being able to cap gold in the war, but this new tempest armor thing is like the warring armor I could ask for years ago

 Good to see some familiar names indeed, it certainly brings me back. I guess it's time to see about emptying some of my estates to lend a hand, waiting on the giftboxen to open has me super nostalgic ;)

 All the presents have been successfully delivered, and the Guardian Giftboxes are now beginning to open! You can now access the shield and spell, with the remaining items set to be revealed later today, and Saturday.

 Quick update folks as we approach the usual release time! The pet and misc gift boxes will be opening likely later today, followed by the armor and weapons on Saturday.

Really surprised by the Trickster Set; was expecting a defensive lean based on the weapons and the misc (reduce damage for healing and either resistance or blocking with backlash, respectively). Turns out it's got good sustain built into a set that packs a MASSIVE wallop. Also, really liking the aesthetics of the armor! The Team knocked the delivery set out of the park this year, in my opinion.

Yeah its all good if you're a Ranger. Last 3 years catered to warrior/rangers. I'd rather no catering with the frostval/giftbox stuff, but for sure the effects are quite strong. I'll be using the magic weapon (obviously not with the armor) and I'll use the shield and I'll use the armor with CHA weapons. I can find use. The spell, as well.

Good set. I just won't use the "set" as much as the "items"

The armor is okay. The Trickster shield and misc works very well with Ghost Costume, in my opinion they are the best part of this set.

 Another quick update! Kamui is still hard at work on the pet and misc, which should open Saturday. Then he will continue on the weapons while Ianthe finishes your armor. Ianthe ran into some issues with the armor, and it is looking like it will likely be ready Sunday.

What a great set from the event this year. Shield is easily my favorite item from it with armor close behind. The misc is fine too for those in need of a free option with which to do dodge-based damage. Winter releases in AQ don't disappoint. It's why I still play.

The armor might be bugged. It's given a (-)(-) 15 bth lean and the monsters deal 85%... I guess the -9 BTH from the effect and the -5 BTH may round up to -15 bth but not sure the 85% damage is right?

Also, did anyone else's SPell Giftboxen open into the MP version?

I forget if there even was a SPell Giftbox; I know that looking in the inventory upgrade/downgrade thing in account management doesn't list the spell at all, so I don't even know.

 There is only an MP version of the gift box spell. The weapons are now open!

Ok, the armor mechanics might be a little weird - what with paying MRM for a skill to lower monster accuracy, healing on an FO armor, a celerity that forces you to pay the first toggle's cost twice despite giving the same effect - but the aesthetics? That stuff's so far up my alley, it's not even funny. The appearance, the animations, the flavor text - I love absolutely everything about it!

For those of us unable to fully decipher the info posts, could someone give a break down of the Frostvale rewards and Giftbox gear? What builds are going to want to claim dibs to each?

 @Ryu Draco From what I can gather and the testing I have done so far:

Weapon - Has the ability to inflict Ice Burn status (Ice DoT), also Choked status effect
Misc - Fire/Ice defensive misc which also gives +10 potence (so I think easier time to inflict status effects)
Shield - Toggle effect, everytime the monster attack connects, the shield tries to inflict them with a debuff that increases the Fire/Ice dmg they take
Pet - Haven't tested this one yet, but from what I gather it can also inflict the same Ice Burn status as the weapon (so stacking it up quick for bigger damage)
Spell - No damage spell, but inflicts Choked and another status effect
