Very interested in what Gluttony's functionality will be.
Did not expect a... salt shaker.

Salek Sprayer returns! When AQW added him a week before the suggestion thread I knew it was finally time.

Ice Tome. MAny will be happy. Just because it's ICe. Could be great, but for me, only if the things it has can replace other spells I use. Has great potential.

Excited to see this release. I was eagerly anticipating this release for 8 months.

Was wondering, in addition to the new items, can you bring back some older items that were not brought back in April?

I.E., Chaos Slayer Clerics, Ectomancer Weapons, etc.

Chaos Slayer Cleric can be available again. Barring any major issues during testing, we expect the release to be ready later today!

Pretty happy with the GGB items overall.

My fave items are the Gluttony pet/guest, but too bad there's no summons version

And the Riadne's venomous scythe. 4 hit armor w/o celerity on melee/ranged is a voidforged trigger. And 4 landed hits of any darkness spell for the magic version will, also.

The ice tome is a bit of a mix IMO. While we finally got an ice tome, and we finally got a spell with some good bleed on it..in fact best bleed from a spell in the game...and a bleed eater, the bleed eater was still on an efficient spell and not a full grown spell. The eleshield I guess is meant to be used vs fire monsters, so it's taking into account assumptions. On that front it's good. But it's still a tome, and therefore, tome design isn't my cup of tea.

star sword- Sounds like a lot of time taken to set it up. You need turns to charge it, to inflict burns which is damage over time. I guess the 10 turn model needs to be replaced by the 114.6 e turn model.

brand of glory- prismatic burn isn't better than just keeping the burn the same element as the weapon. There's a GBI about the boost multi-element gets, and most people think it needs a buff. It doesn't even make sense when considering standard assumptions. Some may like it , maybe to eat the burn before it transitions. Another item that would take too long for the setup IMO.

wave of destruction- A stat drive on a weapon is certainly something we don't see often (or ever?) So it's an inbuilt damage and accuracy boost, and likely works very well with ranger adaptation. As good as it might be, and as erroneous as 250 END is ultimately, something about -50 END doesn't sit well with me. Probably something I should get over.

All of the items are very good, just certain things not my thing. But I have no doubt every item will be coveted by someone. So good release.

    Salek Sprayer art!!

Oh dang. I love Chaotic's idea - though changing leans from FO to SC is quite the serious amendment. If it were to be implemented, it would be best if it can be switched back and forth via the item-upgrader or something. It would take a bit of work - but it would boost the popularity of the item. I understand the team is really busy, however.

Also, @Hollow, Thanks for bringing back the Chaos Slayer Clerics!

Yeh Chaotic's Idea sounds great. There are so few spellcaster lean armours out there, and even fewer that are available year round.

    On the GGB's themselves:

    1. The tome seems great, except why the +15 BTH lean lol, seems a bit overkill
    2. Fun ranger weapon in waves of destruction, I like the experimentation and it feels very powerful
    3. Star sword is so nostalgic, but where it fits in with play style is a little unclear, FD perhaps? what with the burn effects and the necessity of attacking, but then it would also require a separate energy spell, and wouldn't a tome or a wand work better for FD? Especially a tome like lightning rod which frees up a spell space.
    4. Glutton seems crazy good, I like that it's not just another lust clone, but a little sad that there isn't a summon version.

My guess is this bth lean reduces damage and bleed power I think. Maybe they were weary of too strong of a bleed. If so, it may have been one of those design decisions.

Funny how a stat drive on a weapon is fine, but a luck drive on a shield somehow isn't. I'm not against a stat drive on a weapon, as it's just another way to provide a boost is all. But the reasoning given for the luck drive on a shield still makes me laugh out loud.

Yeah this entire weapon feels very odd. I will say, though, 100 proc usage with FD armors being this big assumption IMO is just old school thought process and some people cant let go. There are case usages and playstyles, such as DoT stacking, where a non 100 proc could work very well. Part of that issue is 100 proc oftentimes doesn't have an equivalent. But there are numerous examples of non 100 proc ideas that work very, very well with FD stuff. I see no issue with this.

Yeah no summons version was an odd decision.

Star Sword does feel really odd on paper. Might work well for a STR/INT hybrid running Warrior Lean gear I suppose? That could be a very interesting setup, if rather specific... I do actually have a hybrid with some FD-adjacent gear in their greater inventory already though, so if I can get it on them I'll have to give it a spin.

Gluttony and Waves of Destruction are interesting and certainly seem very powerful, though seconding that some of the choices feel a tad... odd, relative to historical precedent. Cool to see another of the Corrupted Seven making their way over here regardless, and I will say that effects costing/trading stats instead of HP/MP/SP/MRM/Damage are absolutely worth an experiment or two
(or I suppose, another opportunity to be experimented with, if we count the Shearhide/Astramorph thing ages ago, and/or the Snide series if you stretch it a bit) and this opens up several doors in regards to future item design.

Brand is very cool in concept - I love DoTs in general, and weapons that conditionally switch up how they operate are usually interesting - but I'm not entirely certain why you'd a) use it that much against something whose main weakness isn't light in the first place, in order to make use of the conditional seeking property; or b) want to use it to set up PrisBurn, even in the situations where PrisBurn could prove more useful than regular Burn
(there are some I can think of, but few), over other sources which can set it up more quickly and reliably. There're probably use cases where it could prove valuable that I'm not thinking of, though?

I was super excited when I saw Star Sword on the list, and then super disappointed when I saw the effect. Why take such an iconic weapon, and give it such a niche effect? Why not something more universally accessible?

Salek Sprayer is the only thing from this batch that I remain genuinely excited about. I did also pick up Ultimate Brand of Glory and Ice Wizard's Tome too, for two of my themed characters, but less so because I was excited about them, and more so because "I guess these characters would own these items."

Seriously, just looking at that glorious old school water gun fills my heart with joy. And I will happily admit, I have never before noticed it was a salt shaker. I'd always assumed the reflected light was supposed to be eyes, that its main body was supposed to be a metalic white/gray, and I don't even think I've ever noticed the openings (that I would have probably just assumed were dots) on the top before. I LOVE IT EVEN MORE NOW! XD
