 I just thought it would be a good idea to add a place on the forums were people can upload videos of game play, guides, strategies or other helpful things.
I think this would be a very good improvement.

 I'm not sure I understand specifically how adding a section only for posting videos would be beneficial. The functionalities you suggest are in place already, but in text form. What exactly would the benefit be of having a video format forum on top of this?

Player-created videos often have a habit of becoming advertising lodestones, which is not something we encourage. This is the primary reason I included in the Battle Strategy rules that videos would not be allowed. Quite frankly, there's very little reason (from my point of view) to link to an off-AE site when you can write out the same information for players to see here. So if you would, could you explain the benefit you see that would potentially outweigh the consequences? Keeping in mind also that some members may still be using a slow internet connection, and would therefore be unable to use this forum.

 I think that watching a video would be more appealing to people if they are looking for strategies then just text, and instead of reading guides people could post videos of themselves actually doing the quest/farming spot etc... Its just a different method for people to get information about that game. And the advertising can be avoided just by a set of rules and guidelines, and it would be pretty easy to delete videos that don't follow. Another reason is just for purely entertainment, like making montages for the game or showing themselves do 7000 damage. I surely enjoy watching things like that on youtube.

Its just a suggestion, i would enjoy watching specific videos on the forums rather then searching through that vast amount of videos put on youtube for a certain video.

Such videos can be made, put on YouTube and then a PM to the owner of the respective guide could be sent with the link and a request to put the link in the guide.

So, this would add videos to the already existing text-based guides.
