Hi
I have a great idea it might slow the loading page down but it's a great one from my prospective, and the idea is to rate other peoples thread/topic.

I think this is an interesting idea, but I'm unclear on how this would benefit the forum community. Mostly likely, this suggestion would serve to highlight a given thread's popularity in an effort the reach out to more posters, correct? If that is the case, threads previously had a view-count of sorts which served a very similar purpose, but that was removed for reasons that are eluding me at the moment. This is not to say that I'm against this suggestion, but I'm again unclear on how this would benefit the community.

There's a thread made not too long ago on a very similar topic. You could look at the responses there; sadly, it is likely significant issues would result from the implementation of this idea.

Let me define this in a more clear way. Alright what I was trying to say is that it would be great if we can all add stars to other threads Just to let them know how much you liked it in specific if the member post's & armor picture and you like it you could rate 5 stars to there thread just to let them know that you saw there post and that you like it.
Furthermore rankings are mainly for fun, but may also serve as a pointer for those asking questions when they are able to see the ranking of a user answering their question. When a Battleon! Newbie can see their question being followed to the door by a Battleon! ak, they probably already felt the special and friendly community spirit that will make them stick around and “pay it forward” by answering other newbies questions. And before they know it, they become a Battleon! poster to!

I actually suspects sentences such as "thumbs up if this helped you!" (like on YouTube comments) or "rate 5 if this helped you!". These comments sicken me. i find them pointless and spammy.

That is not to say I am against such an idea though. But I think it is rather pointless. Who cares if a thread has 5 stars or not? Does it affect you or me or any other poster? Maybe it will affect the one who posted that particular thread but I see nothing to make this worth doing.

Just for the fun of rating threads? Meh...

Maybe such an idea would be better set in the Creative Arts forums (in the Resource Room to be more precise) and in the various Guide sections of MQ, AQ, DF, AQW, ED, WF, etc.
