He requested for his account to get banned?

Yup - Perhaps he wanted to remove the temptation of the forums so he could focus on exams, or something like that?

You can request a ban for yourself for whatever reason by PMing a moderator. Be sure to tell them how long you want to be banned. If it's left indetermined, then you'll have to e-mail the moderator to have your account unbanned whenever you're ready to come back to the forums.
