This is a comments thread I've just now made for my poetry in general, which is located here. It is very old, and probably very bad. But I'm making this thread because I plan on adding new things to it at some point soon.
You may comment on any of it below, and, in fact, I would welcome it. Thank you for looking over here at my humble thread. It's been a long time since I've been here. I hope I'm not too rusty, or breaking rules that have been newly made. I've read over them, and this seems correct. Thanks!
Table of Contents
Sonnet One: This was a poem about my first love/crush. It was an enlightening experience, and while the relationship never worked out, it thrust me into the world of poetry.
Delight and Despair: The above relationship didn't really ever work out. This is about that. Inspiration takes many forms.
Candle: Again, another poem about love. I am very biased towards love. I am fairly okay at writing about it.
Cold and Forgotten: This is about a soldier dying on a faraway battlefield. It's rather sad, rather poignant.
Oppression: Many people in the world have to fight dictators and horrid regimes daily. This is for them.
Wind-Up Man: Some people just keep going, doing the same things day after day. They never break the mold. Break your mold.
I, Twilight: A short bit about the duality that exists in all of our lives.
Poem for Firefly: A poem I wrote for a good friend. She won an award. It was a great moment.
My Own Demise: A sad love affair. It ended quickly. A collaboration between Amboo and myself. Our lines alternate. I'm blue.
Do You Remember...?: There are stages to these things. They're sad, depressing stages. But there are stages.
Poetry of a Deranged Mind - Paranoia: I had intended to start a series of poems from the point of view of people with various mental disorders. It never worked out.
Poems for School: Two bad poems I wrote for school. All should be chronicled, so they were placed here.
Rush: I went hunting. I didn't kill anything. I don't know if I could.
Firefly: Yet another. I like Firefly, what can I say?
Shut Up: Sometimes things don't work. Sometimes, they do.
Friends Greet/Meet/Snuggle: Three collaborative poems with different verses written by myself and two friends, Mistermafio and Ana_Maria.
Who Are You: People sometimes need support. It's a necessity.
A Random Poem Written With a Poetic Friend: It was late. I was bored. She was bored. That happened.
solace in bathtub: It's easy to get bored. It's easy to think. They're fun to combine.
She, Too (Impulsively Quit): First relationship ended here. It was sad. Looking back, it was for the best.
Untitled: I can't really describe this one well.
