what if varium were like taxes. you pay varium ti help the game. you pay taxes to help the economy. but at the end of each year you get a tax return. Maybe at the the end of the year, depending on how much varium u bought, you could get half the varium back! comment and tell me what you think

I support this idea. Great and innovative. A tax return of course!

Not half, but lets say 10-25% then the dev's would agree. Other then that i do agree! 100% AGREED!

- Peace to all! =D

@below they already have sad faces.. people are leaving this game because its becoming unbalanced. Anyways, varium and non varium players should all be as equal as aqworlds members and non members, this is a game, they are almost the exact same. This game should not be more costly then aqworlds. thats final.

Sounds pretty good, but as stated above, a year is too long for some people.

And even if it was 10-25% I highly doubt the devs would be happy, this would be some sort of a refund and they don't do refunds so they would most likely lose some profit which would make devs have sad faces.

Well, that wouldn' work. F2P's would get even weaker, and people like 2046808 would get tens of thousands of Varium back. Not that it's bad, they will purchase less Varium the following year.

But then...I support because of this scenario that came up (If the Varium regained is a % of the Varium you bought the current year)

Someone buy 100, 000 Varium.
They get 25000 back.
They buy 75000 Varium the next year.
They would get 18750 Varium.
They buy 80000 Varium
Get 20000 back. Oh no, the Varium I get is reducing!
They buy 100000 again.

This would also encourage people to buy more Varium. So it is a win-win situation.

Buys 10000000 Varium
Gets 2500000 back.
They are happy cuz they basically get like a few thousand dollars back (well no one would buy that much var, but you get my point)

Good idea, but not probable. I say Varium Sellback is more important.

@lectrix
exactly
im just sick of having to keep those old varium UN USED items because of lack of power
also the money we spent on enhancements should be returned 100%
i got several weps i dont use anymore fully enhanced and i basicaly feel ripped off.
so sell back on enhancements should be 100%
and i do think we should be ale to sell back just the enhancements and not the sword if we wanted to
i mean sure maybe we want to keep it because its rare, even tho we dont use it.

Support 100% , but it wont happen because the devs are so money hungry lol. -

Anyone else notice the increasing varium prices of weapons? - 1500 for all the half decent weapons now? remember when you could buy the lowest varium package and get a really good weapon? + afew enhancements (thats the way it should be)

The more features that require varium? - They were going to allow bikes to teleport you. But they changed their minds and made it so you had to buy 6 seperate houses that cost 750 - 2250 varium? + The house items are ridiculously overpriced.

The pressure on people to buy varium? - The new power up button whenever you lose a battle .+ the buy varium button thats on the "whats new" page all the time now

Edit: I know this sounds negative. But after months of promised features and increasing varium prices its starting to take the fun out of ED. Which is still one of my favorite mmorpgs. I just want to see ED live up to the massive potential it has.

you fit your car with a new stereo system, lush interior. you buy a new car, you now feel ripped off cause you have to pay for a new stereo system and lush interior ?

NO.

I can understand lowering the credit prices on house items to actually encourage people to buy them, and that would then encourage people to spend varium too.

@Jehannum

Well when you improve/upgrade things their resale value goes up. At the moment, enhancements are a big varium sink for P2P (& credit sink for F2P), with all the investment lost. This needs to change for for long term sustainability of the varium (and credit) economy.

For example, one effect:

The 'free' promo swords cost 1700 var to fully enhance, more than a primary ever cost before enhancements. Once a player ever enhances they must continue to enhance or any new wep/armor will be weaker than what they currently have. This means a player who just wants to try out their new sword needs to enhance it to see its full potential, even if they mostly want to use a class specific weapon. They have no way of recovering that cost.

@B9000: I know 8 extra stats is significant, but surely you can guage the potential of those extra 8 stats while using the item without the enhancements yet.

I think that the price of enhancements is waaaaay to high, both the credit and varium prices but people pay them time and again and the argument for any
change is purely from a customers viewpoint, which they will only really consider when the profits are effected by NOT considering the customer.

every few days someone makes this kind of suggestion and I know that its just pie in the sky. i got nothing against the suggestions in general though.

they WANT you to buy multiple weapons and enhance them all, if you complain then the only person you can blame is yourself [the customer]
