I remember when i first started playing i had alot of fun leveling up, talking to people and just having a good time.
These days people are rude, call you a noob just because your lower level (when they are the actuel noobs) sometimes dont even talk to you just because they're higher level
Now they have the fame thing now all you hear is fame 4fame famefor fame f4f and we also have the guys who try to scam the new guys out of accounts
what are you thoughts

I'm nice to everyone i meet, i only point out the positive things in the game, Never ever say anything to hurt someones feelings, and try to be friends even with the slowest/dumbest of people.

I try to talk to people, nice and friendly, but am usually answered at the minute by 'fame 4 fame' 'oh we lose' or 'let me win pls'
Its almost making me stop trying, especially with the fame thing..

The ~~children~~ players who say the last 2 of the 3 things you said are below 9, so I just answer them in a foreign language and watch them say "wut".

Most players that come on the forums are usually friendly and willing to help out. It is obvious that if we have these sorts of players on the forums, they must also be in game. Simply ignore all people that have the 20 WPM dialect, report the scammers, and kill the noobs and try talking to the rest. You will be surprised to find out that there are still many friendly people in this community, it's just many of them don't even bother talking becuase they are so used to ~~little~~ ~~children~~ antisocial players.

believe it or not i got insulted by a nine year old for critting him well lets just say he called me S ball.
seriously i had an idea where if your under 13 your parents or you have to have an email conformation for talking.
on the other hand im 14.Im lvl 32 and when im up against other lvl 32s they fight and talk which is nice because i can have a good battle and they say good game if i win or they win.
i dont have a problem with this because they play like a gamer with honour.
most of the kids who are 9 or below allways say Bb or Noob im the king not all are like this.
seriously?
i find epic duel a place where i can relax have some fun talk and socialise meet freinds. these kids wreck the game.
please do somthing about it my suggestion was above.

We have a wonderfully dysfunctional community.

IMO this game should have remained as an 18+ age requirement as it was when I joined early December 2009. This was one of the main reasons I joined.

I don't wish to sound like I am being exclusive but I really do think that there is many aspects of this game that is not suitable for the younger ones.

I have no problem at all sharing with the younger ones on other games its just that this game certainly brings out the nastier side of most players and I do not feel that the younger ones (even some older ones) have the intellectual or emotional maturity to be able to handle the VERY nasty elements of this game. Some of which I have seen is the equivalent of cyber bullying.

I have had the pleasure of being friends with mature younger players both on this game and others. I have also met 18+ players that have less maturity than some 12 year olds here.

I really do feel that Artix Entertainment needs to revisit the age limit on this game.

what we need to do is go back to how we used to solve this. report any moronic activity, any scammer, noob callers, curses, really anything obscene so the mods may handle it. we did this for months and slowly killed most the hate. but with the new generation in the community this is forgotten, or unlearned. if you believe in this game, stand up for it by making it a better place for all who play.

The problem with this is the sheer number of these people, i know if everyone reported a few and that... but it seems an almost uncountable number to report, although now they are going more fame4fame and less bullying, there is still a sizable amount of the community that start swearing and noob-calling at amazing rates. If only i could power my car off the amount of language i hear on this game, i would have an almost unending amount of the stuff. However, on the forum, there is a really nice, welcoming, close-knit community which doesnt, on the whole, do such things. Those on the forums regularly are mainly great, and there are some amazingly worked out debates, and also inspiration piled upon inspiration, making great ideas. And there is the great help on here, if ever have any game-related problem here ill have people saying stuff on both sides, and some that'll speak straight and direct, for which i enjoy the honesty of their remarks and they bring people back down to earth. This game itself may have such a massive, hard to deal with problem among its great points, but these forums are wonderful!

Its changed a lot in beta everyone was nice to just about everyone no one called anyone a noob and those who did were looked down upon by others respect was common and courtesy of saying hi and having a light conversation often occurred I guess its because most players have changed their opinions on the fact its a game and have seen it as something much more important going to extremes to win I play to have fun winning is just the cherry on top.

in my opinion.....theses forums are full of a bunch of whinners....that don't really contribute much to the game....we use to have a community that actually cared about the essentials of the game.....i miss the old days :(

there are always going to be people asking something for nothing, in that respect the game reflects real life, there is always something someone thinks they deserve, but arent you forgetting about the creative part of these forums? and the fact that the people on here actually seem to have some form of logical reasoning, or at least some reasoning? and gg :) .

Eh.... I think its really bad and rude
Shadronica called me corrupted
Beastmo was being really rude
Skr33ch is a little nice to me now but he was rude before
GG kill tried to get me banned and he calls me names

The ADMINS arn't really nice to players
I feel like i got ripped off because i got 0 items back.
The Admins/devs don't listen to us
Their should not be a age limit of 18.
Then 1000+ users wouldn't get to play if the age limit came in 2009

@matteo yes its hard to stem the tide of immaturity with the number against us. but this is exactly how it was at the beginning. but through shear will power things seemed to change. i may be hard to see changes since the numbers have grown, but in time( and with alot of help ) we can reclaim this game from these people.

I want to say something Off topic about the community

I realy congratz All ppl who dont Bought BANANA suit , 4 days pass and still 735 banana suit avaible which means ppl Can show that they didnt like the Armor , This can send a Message to Admins that we dont want this much childish thing , even a 10 year old child dont want to look like a banana in the game :S

Realy Big Congratz!!!

And i realy Wonder when it will extinct :D ( In my opinion NEVER )

I started another thread based on my continual observations of Ignorance, rudeness and the 'fame' Issue. Like yourself I've been playing since early Founder/Beta phase and, thoroughly agree with your sentiments. My visits to the site are infrequent now for a variety of reasons but, I'm sure I would be a more regular visitor If it had evolved differently.
