What do you think about the characters with great names but never play?

Example:
Fire= 0 1v1, 0 2v2
Ice= 0 1v1, 0 2v2
Star= 4 1v1, 0 2v2
ect.

do you believe we should be able to take peoples names if they haven't played for a certain amount of time and haven't gotten much wins (like below 2000 1v1 wins or 1000 2v2 wins)?

*people above 2000 1v1/ 1000 2v2 wont have their names taken since they actually play or have dedicated some time into playing the game.

Edit: Thanks for those who suggested this, Varium accounts cant have their names taken, and it should take 3-4 months before the name has been taken, added to suggestions.

sure, 1 year of inactivity, for a non varium.
if its a varium his name cant be taken.

Yeah, there is in fact a name I want badly. And the owner of that name hasn't been on for a long time and has barely done any battles.

 This is a pretty good idea. You should also post it in the Feature/Interface Suggestions thread so that it doesn't get lost. :)

I would suggest that this only applies to free accounts of course. The inactivity period could be shorter if it's a low level account. I'm sure there are 1000s of accounts that have only logged in once and never played again. Maybe 3 months of inactivity for anyone under level 10, 6 months for under level 20 and one year for under level 25 would be a reasonable time frame.

Not supported. I one's logge'd in AQW and and never loggied in again, but because i didnt know how to play. After like 3-5 month's, My friend teached me. I've been playing AQW since then.

I agree and disagree but if they are 25 or up names stays with them. At least my real name was taken.

 I have to agree, there's a lot of names I'd like, and they're all from levels under 15.
Like: Monster, Stealth, Creep, Deadly

Pretty endless.
I'd say it'd be better if it was like:
Varium = Can't be taken
Nonvarium = Can be
Under Level 15: 1 win within 3 months
Under Level 25: 20 wins within 3 months
Under Level 30: 50 wins within 3 months
Level 30+: Can't be taken for at least a year, or not at all.
I would go by wins because, someone could simply just login to keep the name, do nothing, and never play. Just keep the name so others can't have a chance at it.

Major support! I recently changed my name, but I'd be willing to change it again if some good names were open.

I support it by not the time frame, but the win count because of what @Rabies said.

You have some good support on this; let's get it to Nightwraith and Titan!

theire is some lvl 2 boutny hunter name deathguard, for that guy i put my alt xDeathGuardx :/. Support it!

 Ashari, 3 Months is not very long, I disagree. However, a simple and fair solution would be any player/name that has not logged in/battled in 365 days automatically
gets reassigned a new numbered name and that previous name gets released into the name pool again. This would free up most of the alpha players and some early beta players
who have many of the names desired by most. This should be implimented regardless of varium/non varium. If you do not care enough to check in at least one time in an entire year, then you forfit the name.
Also, they should have a list of players alternate names somewhere. Like on their character pages.

i would prefer something like "Last Active"
but on the char pages. that way if a player wants that name, he will know how long he has to wait.
also a year is a bit long.
i would say 3-6 months.

 Again, 1 year inactive would free up many alpha players names and many early beta accounts, most of which are free to play accounts made. At the same time, protecting "newer" players who might be inactive for awhile. Most of the names players want were taken in alpha and early beta. 1 year inactive would free up a hundreds of those names, easily. Sometimes, you speak in this forum and it's like people don't listen to reason when a clear and simple solution is given.

I dont see how this would work knowing that most of our Elite players have quit. We have many Players that have made a great impact in ED and quit because they no longer had time to play, Whats going to happen to them?

Not literally "Elites" i meant Elite players as in Shaniqua,Misery,And many more that i cant remember. If those names get released were gonna have noob with varium running around with a name that use to mean something

I remember NightWraith said its best not to take names from anyone at all, because if that player decides to come back and play, their account would be corrupted and gone. So there are a few things to think about this, but true if the account has been inactive for over 1 year it should be up for grabs, except a lot of people will want it, so there should be some sort of auction for special names.
