Gamma Bot Overpowered?

There have been many points made about Gamma bot being overpowered, and I've realised something that no one has probably thought of before. If you fight a player that's missing an auxiliary or sidearm and you have full gear on you, who'd you expect to win? Well, same concept with the Gamma bot. It's like saying sidearms are OP'd to the person that doesn't have one. I agree that bots are used to often within a single battle, however as for reducing their power, I say nay. Discuss.

 Robots by themselfs are useless and are the only weapon in the game that i can honestly say this about you can use Frostbane with no STR and it still has some worth to it it has the set damage

Whereas robots need both Tech and Focus to be a threat which is where focusing a build on a robot becomes a defencive measure for offence allow you to control both sides of the fight where as without a robot you have to choose to be offencive or Defencive and that in itself makes Robots not OP'ed but very powerful

 Well robots get blocks do aux get those no same with guns.

Yes. You have two phy and eng atks, which you can then abuse with tech. Along with a skill that increases with tech, such as bunker buster, surgical strike, smoke, emp, plasma bolt. Then it's oped with that combination. Plus, mercs can use massive tech because they have hybrid, which covers their defense, so that they don't need much dex. With an eng armor +9 for example with the bunny armor. Then, you have a high def/res build that hits high and defends with great ease.

So in summary: Gamma Bot is powerful in combination with other skills.
It's unfair to the non-variums or other epicduelers that don't have them. It changes the tide of battle profoundly.

So there must be a change in order for gamma bots to not have such power over the battles. I would support a 4 turn cooldown in fact. But also release new robots in order to give us more choices of robots to use.

I got some ideas for bots:
Heal Bot-Heals you by an amount that equals your level
Multi Bot-Splits itself into two smaller bots and attacks both enemies
DoT Bot-Does 0 damage on the enemy and applies a DoT that deals damage over 5 turns based on your focus
Lich Bot-Heals you by half the damage dealt to the enemy
Electro Bot-Electrocutes your enemy with a chance to stun him/her
Speed Bot-Has a +10% chance to connect
Assasin Bot-Has a +10% chance to crit

of the few things the ED staff do right, bots have got to be one of them, they are a very unique weapon and I think they are good the way they are.

@hello guy: technically it wasn't nerfed because focus was made useless unless you have robots.

 ^t got nerfed twice. 7x focus-6x focus-then focus doesn't apply anymore. Its +30 not +30+5

Gamma Bot deals more damage than most skills and doesn't consume any energy... Obviously it's overpowered not to mention it isn't limitted to a certain type of damage (can deal both physical or energy damage)...

During beta times when Gamma bot and focus damage existed, robots gain their damage by x7 for every level of focus. At the same time, focus applied to its damage so to make it clear, in beta times, if your Gamma bot has this damage of 30-34+35 it adds up another +5 from your focus level therefore the damage is like 35-39+35 or in simple definition 70-74 damage which was very VERY overpowered. Added focus damage plus the old progression of bot damage through focus which was x7 (now x6) was too devastating.


So Titan simply removed the focus damage from the robot but not the weapons(at that time) and nerfed its x7 to x6 to prevent any overpowered bots but still its overpowered since some mercs can still spam tech as high as they want to. End of story

How can a weapon that's one of a kind be OPed?? There's nothing to compare it with? There aren't any other physical bots.

The reason why Bot are more powerful than other weapon in game because they give 10 (or 15? i can't remember) damages more than any weapon in game

Funny how people ignore that essence core

Is freaking simply, why is OP'ed, their is no sacrifice, especially for mercs. Is either U go offensive or defensive, U cant have both at the same time; but, the gamma bot makes u have both, (talking about mercs especially!), U take little damage, but u also inflict so much damage. See, that's not fair, Mages and BHs have to pick, take for example a strength merc, he or she, puts a lot of stats on strength, so he can do 25-30 damage, on an average player (fully varium lvl 30-33); but thier resistance or tech. is low, see thats the sacrifice the have to make; to hit high the have to get hit high also; but is not the same for mercs, as a matter of fact, is the opposite, To hit high for mercs, they have to get hit low, and that's not fair, in any kind of way!!!!!!!!!

That also goes for +5 focus BHs, although the don't have hybrid, they have bloodlust.
