Have you ever tried an outdated build in delta phase vs the new awesome builds
If you did how did it turn out?

 Yeah I Tried Infern0's Old Poison Build and I got Facepalmed by a Tac Merc

I'm using a weaker version of the old Max FC Merc, and I lose to (almost)every varium player. It works ok though.

I still see some people (I believe they just return) use Str buff + Zerker build :D

I use the old Tank build for the Techmage, although if I fight someone with physical weapons I know it's going to be a hard battle.

Max FC, HA and Intimidate, those were the good ol days. I'd win over 40, even 50 games sometimes without losing.

 STR Bounty was from Beta. Its existed for a long time, yet people stilluse it with high effectiveness. Thus, many people here have used a 'Old school/outdated' build and it worked really well.

i use a heal+SS (surgical stike) high energy build from alpha this never caught on to some ppl but i gave to my friend (which just bought 10k varium) and he got ~98%. say whatever u want lol.. im telling u how u it went down if u believe me, cool, if not dont waste my time.

 I remember trying the old Support Hunter about 2 weeks back...

Needless to say, it wasn't the greatest of choices. But I was pleasantly surprised...

When i was still merc i used classic

Max FC lvl 1 zerker max hybrid

I tried a high hp, FC+bezerker build when I was a mercenary. The 5 focus builds with those pesky robots just tore it apart, and there were a lot of blocks as well. :S

I tried a 140hp build as a mage with Azrael as well. That was the same story.

Most of the old builds don't really work anymore unless you use the new version of them. E.G: The old strength bounty hunter has adapted into a newer version which uses newer weapons such as Frostbolt Blaster and Eggzooka.

 my friend picked up BT's old Smoke Poison Mass build and he got leveled(and thats putting it nicely)

I picked up my old Caster Build on my Main and its doing horribly on everything but NPC's
On my alt im using my old 2v2 build(Zooka/Gun Zerker Multi) and its actully working pretty good in Jugg ive got like 75%-85%

 I Just Tried My Old 2v2 Build and Pwned Some Nucakez

It Uses BloodLust,Reflex Boost, Nade, and Multi and a Whole Lot o Dex >:D

@T600 well the problem is str mercs don't know what to do if they go second i have a simple stra. that beats 5 focus builds (if u go second). first use DS then zerk if ur opponent has weak def/res (depending on ur main weapon) then jsut strike and win. but if they dont have weak res/def (weak as in under 25 res/def) then heal+ rage zerk for the win.

2-4-10
10-6-1
0-1-0
0-0-0

note that the skill tree is completely different if u have a club.

whats your deffinition of 'outdated'?

i've used builds that have been used before many times by many people for many months (aka, focus) but other than that, no.

What happened to the classic Field Commander and Berzerker strategy? Back in the Founder and Beta days, this and the support mercenary were the most popular mercenary builds.

@end:they needed fc then to raise their str then. Now,they have as much str as their base build,going as far as 130 base str. Skill got obsolete and a waste of turn.

I'm a Tech Mage and I use a Super Charge build. It works fine.
