I was wondering on ED section why you guys no longer allow us to request lock .

also why can't we delete are own post I seen other section do it. why not us I was wondering.

Its not only the ED area, posts donīt get locked anymore in general = no point in requesting a lock.

Only threads that go out of hand get locked.

Even if there is rule braking going on the rule braking post gets deleted and the thread will stay unlocked.

Mostly there is no need to delete you own post, you are always able to edit it. If you want a post deleted just PM the AK in charge and it will be done.

But sometimes I rather have opinion instead of mods doing it.

Be as that may, as Armakuny has already explained, such a function is largely unnecessary and even when it is, there are workarounds. Its availability isn't warrantable.
