:'( Assimilate is a great skill in general. In fact, it's the only reason I decided to use a staff over a sword on my BM build. Really, can't you replace supercharge instead? It saves me about 2 points in my stat spread (which can be the only thing between a win or loss) and not to mention destroys opponent builds. I demand you bring back assimilate, and put Reflex Boost in the place of Supercharge.

This is ridiculous...I don't even play at the moment, and have never tried blood mage, and I know exactly how harmful this update has been on BM. You guys can no longer take energy. Look at every other class in the game...Every single one can take energy, and not BM? Also as most BM builds are based around strength, Assimilation had become a key factor in many Blood Mage builds, as it was essentially an enhanced normal attack, which is obviously based around strength.

Its sad, because the nerf on TLM was no where near as severe as it should have been. However where Blood Mages desperately needed a defensive skill, in the act of implementing such a skill they have lost another skill which is almost just as important.

Furthermore, as Reflex is not based around strength, I would say this update has nerfed BM more then it has buffed it.

This is why the Staff should listen to the players, which judging by this balance update, they absolutely didn't.

I feel your pain.

Supported. Your class severely needs reflex boost, and assimilate is a good skill. But why remove supercharge? Is that really the skill you're most willing to "bump off?"

I used supercharge against several NPC recently and at rage the max damage I got for level 1 was 34 so it is a weak skill and takes up too much energy to use. Assimilation does not improve with any skill no matter how high or low the strength I had, I constantly got 40+ damage and when battling the new NPC that was one of my main attacks because it did damage, reduced their energy, and added a little to mine. They should had boosted the energy regain of assimilation and used my combo armor idea because with the 13 stats for dex and tech, 13 bonus stats for defense and resistance and 13 enhancement slots which could be used for Dex given 26 additional points would be something that did not cost energy, did not replace one of the most used skills, would be on for the whole battle, saved space in inventory, would have been on par with reflex boost, would not have to waste a turn, and would have been unique to the Blood Mage Class.

In 1vs1 and 2vs2 so far I either went 2nd or last so it is pointless to waste a turn with reflex boost and have them use another attack, like robot laser which for that you have to have higher resistance to get a block, so it would be of no use in that matter.

We need something that did not replace a good skill because two was taken away already or take up any more energy to get a basically no energy back.

They knew High level mages do not use Super Charge or Plasma Rain and they were afraid of a backlash if they took away plasma rain a skill we never use so they thought taking away Assimilation would be less of backlash but they were wrong. This is what happens when they listen to non-mage players more then the ones that know the class the best.

Three best skills the mage class had, reroute, malfunction, and Assimilation basically stolen away what is next they gonna decided the Blood mage is too powerful and nerf strength or put the support requirement for Deadly Aim even higher 55 to 60, so Why is the mage class getting punished every update?

are you serouis, they got taken away? i haven't been playing for what like 3 three weeks or so, but i have been keeping up with the forums. i don't intend to play any time soon.

Yeah but assimilate was like bot block-able now we have a unblockable stat boosting that gives us energy if we dont block and bloods asked for this and they got what they wanted.

I Doubt they'l remove supercharge as it is the 3 warm up skill that all classes have and i don't think the devs are about to change that, They could however replace it with overload this is the classes stunning skill however and if classes require a stunning skill they could add stun chance on plasma cannon and remove it's crit chance??

Forget it, Blood Mage is Dead now...

Assimilate was the Key skill between being able to heal, preventing a Massacre etc etc.
and what do we get now, that crap Reflex Boost.

Super Charge... It's so bad I can't even call it crap...
Against a lvl 30 Tact merc, I did 25 Damage with about 170 Dex ( with Reflex Boost )
Enough said...

Thank you devs for the ' Hard ' work...

@Goldslayer1 NO ONE wanted Assimilation to be taken away. NO ONE. Plasma Rain, Intimidate, Overload, these were the skills we said we wanted to be replaced with Reflex. The staff didn't listen to us, they replaced a great 4th tier skill, which wasp robably the best skill we had, with a mediocre 3rd tier skill. You really expect us to be greateful for that?

u guys got what u wanted and if i remember correctly some of u didn't even consider assimilation a passive and said its one of the weakest skills ingame. u bashed them because they gave tech mages a "weak" passive
u bashed them because they gave it to bloodmage and now u bash them because they took it away and gave u a better one?
thats pathetic.

removing itnimidate wouldn't be a good idea.
5 focus support BMs would benefit from this against str bh

The thing about class "evolutions," except with Tac Mercs which the Dev's made a perfect class, is that some classes basically got the scraps of other classes. Why the hell did Blood Mage get intimidate anyway? The Dev's ran out of passives so only gave Cyber Hunter one, and have TLMs the best passives in the entire game. And I don't understand why every new class just HAD to get Technician.

@Goldslayer1 You must be confusing me with other people. I said its one of the BEST skills for Blood Mage. I made a build based around it, I was never one to bash Assimilation because I knew it was useful even if others took one look and rolled their eyes at it. But taking it away was one of the worst things they could do because blood mages CAN'T TAKE AWAY ENERGY

And benefit from Intimidate? Trust me, you'll never see a good Blood Mage using that pathetic excuse for a skill.

I don't remember saying that Assimilate is the weakest skill...

I think It was a Key Skill, It made most BM's think about, When is it the right time to use it.
It made a difference between getting massacred or just that little bit of energy to prevent a heal...

and what do we get now...

when the skill came out alot of people bashed it saying it was weak idk if u guys were part of it. but it was alot. countless threads made saying mages got the short end of the sticks. if u say its not a bad skill, then good. if u know how to use it, then good. maybe u can show others how to use it. i never said it was a bad skill either.

also intimidate was one of the only skills that prevented str BH from beating mercs.
and and i honestly dont know why people complain about static charge.
its like an assimilation except times 20. because the energy u can get is pretty good compared to assimilation.

I think most of the complaining about Static Charge is that CH was one passive, at tier 4, which is bad, and Static Charge would be a perfect passive, idk.
But ASsimilation being taken away just hurt my build so much, and now because of the requirement on Deadly Aim Blood Mages are gonna have so many useless skill points, I can only use about 22 of mine.

That's the problem
A good skill on a Tech mage isn't always a Good one on Blood Mage and vica versa
Tech mages didn't need Assimilate due to having Reroute, hence they found it useless...

Blood Mages really needed that Assimilate... those few Energy points can be the difference between winning and losing.

You say BM's use Intimidate to nerf STR builds?
Well BM's don't need it if they think straight...
My build was made of High Str, High dex and as low as possble Sup and Tech and guess what
I actualy had a good chance beating STR builds ( even Some STR Tact mercs )

people listen up if you think you cant beat str bh or tml merc with out assimilate well your wrong and i also heard that BM is underpower with out defence skill? well i beat most of str build because i have a great build! like what other mod said TLM merc is not over power! (dont know whos the mod who said it:s) it defend on the build you can think not the class is the problem.
o and im a blood mage as well :)
