As I get a bit bored and jaded about the game (just a little phase it will pass) I have been running around ED looking at new players, mainly between level 10 and 20. Now in my own rough estimate, I'd say that close to 90% of them have something really wrong with their built and gear. Of course you get the alts of a couple pros but for a real new players it is pretty bad.

Now I have been trying, in battle and in different worlds to help. Here is how it usually goes:

ME: Hi! Wanna tip ?
Player: you noob
ME: I just want to help with your built
Player: variumnoob

Now I log on forums and I read all the complaing. I go see the character page of those complainers.... most of them haven't reach the level cap, have not finished the missions, have never bought any varium to help support the game.

I see lot's of threads talking about the community. What community ?? If there was a community, it has been dead for quite some time now. And all the solutions I see are negative and repressing... IP ban, chat locks, forums ban, deleting players, more moderators watching every chat...None of this leads anywhere.


Now I am thinking of making a faction and only recruiting levels from 10-15 and helping them.

Any of you guys have real POSITiVE solutions ?

Back in beta i found him as i would say a lv 5 BH that i fought alot when i first founded my Faction so i recruited him trained him he got Varium and now the student has surpassed the master.

Niether of us are truely active players we dont really care about all time or Daily leader boards but if you can take one newb and turn him into a good player you would have done your job to help keep the community going

I wish you loads of luck with it. As you are a good player, you are exactly who they need to advise them.

What will you call your faction?

Well before making it, I will keep on trying to help in-game and in battles to see if I get a good response.

I wouldn't mind people helping with suggestions for a good name for that faction.

I know a few tips.

At low level: random skills.

At mid-range level: try to mix some skills to create a fun build.
At high level: npc or varium or gtfo.

I find this odd.

I have helped many! low levels with poor builds and they were all glad for help..

I think your problem is players dont like being told they suck and buy saying you wanna fix their build your saying they suck..sort of.

I know it's frusterating but what I do is just wait for them to ask for help.

Or sugest If you ever want help I'll help ya rather than stick a comment like "your build needs fixing" into their face.

Haha i already have a faction like that, its called Noobs, except its only ment for people that have more losses than wins in their record.

More factions like this would be awesome, and good luck with yours.

Lol, I'll join that faction. Help noobs out too. I was thinking about it but Idk why I haven't made it. I was planning to call it "Noob School"

@Remorse: You may be right.. maybe I am too blunt with them.

@Drainx: I like ED Academy. Maybe Noob Idol were the best noob becomes a pro superstar ?
