What a bad day today was! In just 7 1v1 games, I had enough reason to report 3 people to the Lawman. Why? They all insulted me, using words that would otherwise be banned if not for spelling arrangements. One called me a loser, one said "U SUC" and the last said "weak p*ss". The best part - all were level 33s, and 2 of them had critted me by chance. As a level 33 myself, I show my opponents the respect they all deserve, and I do not use degrading words on them.

So, I am just wondering what other people here would do if you got stuck in the same situation as me. (1) Just accept it as a bad day? (2) Report them? (3) Take them on and engage in a war of words?

PS: I have noticed that this is becoming more and more common nowadays, such that respect seems so foreign.

No trolling or flaming please.

Option 1: Just accept it as a bad day

I would accept that the moment I started using the internet, I was likely to be offended, disgusted and enraged everyday, especially playing online games.

I will normally get in a war with them but i will use indirect words(sarcasm). Coz these people are kids with no parents to guide them, and they are multiplying every dam day.

id do this

warn them that if they keep doing it ill get them reported 2 lawman

then if they keep doing it report them

if they stop exept it was a bad day

if it happened the next day id kill them and report them

if the players just call me a mildly insulting name (like noob), i would just ignore them.. because like ngshuyi94 said, probably they are just kids without parents to guide them.. but if the case is about severe swearing, i would immediately report it to the lawman..

Those were pretty weak insults anyway......

Picture a kid alone in his room with no friends and no social life whatsoever and hating the world. Let them insult you. It's no big deal.

I usually ignore it. But if they say something really extreme. When I kill them I usually say "who's the noob now" if they called me a noob first. Other times I just ignore and report. But if they go really exteme something like "enjoy hell" or "your a p*ssy" then that is far enough. I at the instant ignore and report.

 unless they go out and do something major just ignore them if they ever drop phrases that are straight up rule breaks such as "i'll hack you" then go and report them if its just minor swearing or insults ignore them if its major swearing you can report them too

I dont even respons to those, who is insulting me. And I do not care if I get called "noob" or "loser", as they mostly say the we both see that I am gonna win. They are pretty much just calling themself noobs, since they gets beated. I've used to report them for inapproppiate language, then I dont do anything more about it. They are not worthy my words!

To me this is a subject that is hard to define.

What one person finds offensive another person won't.

I believe that reporting with screen shots when the behaviour is bad is necessary. I always report someone who continues to be nasty throughout the battle and I always find these people to be repeat offenders.

I still believe that a stronger chat filter or a pvp ignore enemy chat button should be introduced. A third option would be to have a chat safe server which would not only be used by younger players but quite a few adults would be happy to use it as well.

heres what i would do
after the second incident: exit
go play a POSITIVE game (one of the non mmo aef games, or something free)
come back after half an hour
keep playing like nothing happened.

I would just ignore it and in the end if I don't win.. I say gf which will make them feel like crap

and If i win I still say gf bcuuz they still feel crappy.. I don't like reporting people anymore because the fact is.. You can't report every single person that is mean to you...

That's like a tough man fighting about 300 kids

ITS 300 KIDS, you won't win... every time you think you did... THEY KEEP COMING BACK OR THERE IS ALWAYS MORE!!

SO I say ignore em' let em' be how they wanna.. because silence hurts people sometimes.
