Brainwash allows you to cause the NPC's to forget you already did your 15 battles that hour and lets you do an additional 15. You can reset your hourly NPC limit for 75 Varium. This can be done up to 5 times a day. I'd refer you to the Wiki for more info on this feature.

I used the brainwash system 15 time in a single day when i was trying to win 1vs1 and i won it same day :D

 I've known it was there for a while now, but have not seen the benefits in using it (personally). If i want to do more fights i wait till the next hour rather than spending varium on just a few more fights.
