Now first of all I would like to say honour is not worth a flying carp to me, but you can in little proofs measure it by difficulty. Which class in your opinion deserves or has earned the most honour for this time (Delta) in EpicDuel?

I would gladly say that the standard mercenary is the most honourable class of all 6. When ranking among the best players in different classes, mercenary has the toughest fight. I imply this because of their fewest available tactics they are given. For one, the class owns a single passive only influencing defence or resistance at a time. The only 2 ways to recover from damage is by means of field medic and surgical strike, while surgical strike is not reliable. They are in heavy pressure at all times because their power source (energy) is very limited and decisive in battle. Majority of their skills are to either send high outgoing damage or receive little incoming damage (like artillery and blood shield). They are very comparable to a fort by this means as they are only built to survive and surviving is probably in my opinion the most courageous goal to attempt.

All in all, none in zero, the mercenary is a true warrior of heart and will always be in my respect in the battlefield. Thank you mercenaries, you show me faith.

The only thing i understand from you post is how weak Merc is.

Merc is the weakest class there is not any honourable thing in that, if you play with Merc you dont have varium/credits to change class or ur stupid.

And playing with the weakest class isnt honourable. Classes cant be honourable, players can. If a Merc say bad words to you, is that mean he is honourable just because he is Merc ? and just because a player play with TLM doesnt means he/she is not honourable.

Maybe when you understand more than 1 thing and see life differently as opposed to being 1-sided and absolute you can then post a valid response to my thread.

I wouldn't say there is any "honorable" class, since classes are not honorable by themselves; it is the people that have honor. A TLM newb probably doesnt have any honor AT ALL. TM FTW! :D

If a merc fights you fairly as opposed to a tlm fighting you fairly, how do you know when their tactics are deserving of more honour than not by means of passives to spam with no relent?

^ the only difference between Merc and TLM is Merc spam attack and lose 90% of the time but TLM spam attack and win 90% of the time. I dont understand what you trying to say, losing = honourable???

Let us not forget the EXTREMELY UN hounorable merc STR builds which could kill you before you got a turn or make it near imposiable to recover, start stun beserk!!

I think the honourable classes are those which require and use great strategy to win AND ONLY JUST WIN in tough fights, so that means TLMs are UNhonourable becaue the pick off people with ease, but not necesarily without strategy (in many cases they do however).

All classes can be honourable IMO,

Excpet for TLMs to be honourable they have to miss out on leveling up either hyrbid or reroute, having them togther is like pulling out a gattaling gun in a sword only fight.

Your conception of 'honor' is wrong. A person with a gun can be just as honorable as a person with a sword. Classes mean nothing for honor, it only matters how one conducts himself.

Despite the lack of proper grammar in his posts, i'm going to have to agree with Turk on this one. It is not the class itself that is honorable, it is the player using it.

Mercenaries have honourable skills as they, if not incorporating medic, fight only to the death by blood and grit. Other classes have cheap ways of crawling back to stamina, by reroute, bloodlust, or EMP/health drain attacks.

Mercenaries are basically one-use turrets that need to be reloaded manually to maintain.

The biggest thing about mercenaries is how challenging they have it with their passive skill, of course. Everything else is endurance, fight of the fittest. A true honourable warrior with nothing dastardly or too villainous. They have a blockable EMP skill.

I think that in the end, if you're talking about the most UPed class, it'd come to a standstill between BM and Merc.
Although I will admit, bloodshield is pretty useless when it comes to battling (IMO) but at least mercs have Hybrid Armor to let them somewhat tank it all out.

I would give up Blood Lust for Hybrid Armor any day of the week. But that is just my opinion.

Your conception of 'honor' is wrong. A person with a gun can be just as honorable as a person with a sword. Classes mean nothing for honor, it only matters how one conducts himself.

You have to remember, there are pros and cons to every skill and class and the skill of the player can enhance and make use of the pros, or it could work the other way as well, and it could enhance the cons. If you think about it, hybrid saves you 13/7 HP each turn (+13 for hybrid, and if hybrid is on def, then you can put your +7 armor on res.) If the average battle lasts 4 turns, and your opponent does 2 attacks of def and res, it would technically save you 40 HP (13+13+7+7). Although I agree that it cannot be calculated that way, its just a general way of calculating the HP saved.

On the other hand, BMs are actually quite similar to mercenaries. I would say that they are a mix between Tech Mage and Mercenary. Tech Mage [Overload, Plasma Rain, Deadly Aim, Technician, Supercharge, Fireball (Plasma Bolt in physical version)] Mercenary[Beserker, Intimidate and Plasma Cannon (Bunker Buster in energy version.)] Being a BM, I might be somewhat biased but I feel as if that BMs are more UP than Mercenaries. Sure, there are many good BMs (Bambi47, Shundraa, etc.) but if you think about it, when you meet a BM, do you get the sensation of "Oh joy! Another free win!" Or "Darn! I sure Im going to lose this one!" I think many would pick the first. The truth is, the typical nonvar, especially underpowered classes, will not beat the TLM most of time. I do not say that this is the TLM's fault, and I dont not blame them for being "mainstream", as I was a TLM too before. But since I was a TLM, I can especially understand the power differentials between the 2 classes, for example: when I was a tlm, I was able to consistently beat full variums, but as a BM, I would beat maybe 1/10 full variums.

Well, this has been one long post, and if you read all of it, I appreciate your time.

Funny thing is that before TLMs came out, Mercenary was the most OP class. The only difference now is that all the good top-level Mercs became TLM due to TLMs being obviously better, so unlike the other classes, new builds that can contend in the current climate have not been made yet.

Seriously, you can't really say that one class has more honor than another class. A class can't have honor, it is the players that hold this esteem of others looking at them in high respect. Just because you use a "UP" class doesn't make you honorable.

If you say Mercenary has honor. What about the players who are Mercenary who will make fun of you, call you noob when they beat even if it's complete luck. Is that honorable? Not at all. Honor is being good through the hard things and doing the right thing true the hard time that is honour. Maybe a TLM changing to Mercenary is Honorable but... yeah it goes to the start of the message again...

Honour is actually about one's reputation and courage in battle. What you're defining is fortitude, a virtue. I am NOT talking about virtues and a person's attitude fyi. So people who jump on the bandwagon, please understand, to accept and understand, so that you are not being mislead. Honour is nothing more than status and bloody vengeance.

^We're talking about in-game. Everything else is irrelevant, however it's true, it's odd we're talking about honour in a video game...

Honour is not earned by the class, but it is earned by the individual player. A great example would be Jay Hawk, who has achieved more in the war than I ever though possible (there are others higher ranked, but they're all varium).
Honour has a convoluted and uncertain meaning, but judging from what I understood from your description, I'll do my best.

I find the most honourable classes to be the Tech Mage and Cyber Hunter. It takes the most still to use properly, and countless have sat through hours of trial and error, improving and perfecting their builds. TMs and CHs have also proven to be the most
honourable players by not all copying the same build. TM and CH requires one's own special style, and even though many may use (or have used) builds such as support mage, dexterity mage, 5 focus or Strength Hunter+high massacre, none of the builds are identical, or close-to.
Although they do, often enough, hide behind layers of defenses (defense matrix, most importantly), they use them properly and know what the they're worth, unlike the more common Hybrid armor, which one simply maxes out out of fear.
Finally, I think TMs and CHs are the ones who understand fair play and personal sacrifice the best. It's impossible to learn how to use the class without dying many times. Unlike Bounty Hunters or Tactical mercenaries, and even some
Blood mage builds, which you can just pick up and start off doing very well, Tech mage and Cyber Hunter deserve respect simply for trying to play, because until you understand how the classes work, you are going to get pummeled quite a bit.

Bounty hunter deserves a shout out as well because we don't hide behind armors, effects, or whatever else. It is, like TM and CH, pure skill. Some builds are very common, such as dexterity and strength. We get very lucky as well, but
it's not a class like the two mercenaries, that are simply a "hack n slash" class with little strategy. BH holds the most all-time leaders because, even though we have around 30 defense and 30 resistance, while our opponents have 35+, usually, we still come out on top.

Finally, I think Mercenary is honourable, but only for those who still play as one (for example G00ny). It takes persistence to play as one, seeing as they are the easily beaten, what with all the nerfs and whatnot. It was, in it's time, quite the class.

I have nothing to say about Blood Mage. It's fun to use, fast, and generally a good class. It's in the middle. It relies on damage and little else, but takes skill as well.

Tactical is not a class I enjoy. It copies classes, hides behind defenses, and takes no skill to use. I don't think the class is OP. I honestly don't care that much for it, I just find it isn't very honourable.

If you have any objections, this is only my personal opinion. I've played as every class, and this is more or less what I felt.

Yes, Nicolas,
I completly agree with you. You will never see an Cyber Hunter or an Mage with the exactly the same build unless they are the same person.
I for one, do not hide behind my defenses, I hide behind my layers of Support and Strenght, doing lotsa criticals and getting the first turns which definetly means victory. And then stabbing them to death with my Maxed out MASSACRE!
