This thread is to generally discuss your thoughts on how and why NPCs should work in battles. More specifically, what should be expected from the outcome?

-

Should NPCs give credits?

Should NPCs give experience?

Should NPCs give battle tokens?

Should NPCs count toward a record?

How do you rate them in general? Good or bad and why?

well lets look at this this way. if we had no npcs every player <31 would leave the game, so i think its a good idea

Yes. For all of them. If we made NPCs not count or give you anything you can say bye bye to all the high level non-varium players.

I think that fighting NPC's should give you some credits and exp, abit more than it is now, maybe even twice as much then now. (Depending of the level of the NPC) So we get some way to farm credits fast when its needed. But I do not think it should count in the 1vs1 record, nor give tokens.

I suppose I will respond to my own thread... may as well even though I didn't start the discussion (technically).

NPCs should give bonus credits. If you ever wanted to train on these, you may just have a good reason such as, "I keep losing in PvP" or, "I need to earn fast credits to buy the armour of my level"... NPCs should be considered as a remedy to cope with trouble in PvP, so extra credit income to help afford upgrades would be great.

NPCs should give experience. Although they are easier to battle than human players, they should still be an option for in the event that a player is getting nowhere in PvP. NPCs would be an acceptable option to bide through the carnage which is PvP battle imbalance. Otherwise, losing constantly to a group of OP players may turn the player away.

NPCs should not give battle tokens. NPCs CAN give tokens to specifically use the arcade. Battle tokens can often be used for flagging. If one faction decides to grind NPCs for tokens and another faction decides to grind PvP... well let me just say that NPC battles are easier to play. There is a difficulty difference between the 2 play-styles, and because of that, NPC slayers would unfairly claim flags easier. Yes, anyone can NPC, but what if NPC slaying is not fun to some people? Would it be fair to have hardworking NPC slayers dominate in tokens by a multiplier of x2 than hardworking PvP players would spend more time earning less tokens? Honestly... no.

I will edit this section for battle records later. Too lazy.
