Since they have been nerfed to oblivion shouldnt something be done to help them out of the ground again?

i think you are bored. Do you know what nerfed to oblivion means? Can you state how they been nerfed?

Quite funny, I run 3 chars on Support mainly and seem to be doing pretty well with Lvl 3-5 Heal and appropriate build. Where is that "nerfed to oblivion" bit? o.o

Deflection back to Support will not be happening. What would be the whole reason of moving it to Technology be?

I agree. How bout change deflection back to support and make max stun
chance of 40%, but base stun chance still 30%. So builds with higher
support have higher stun chance.

what I hate about support is no matter how much higher it is than your enemy, if they are 2-3 levels higher they almost always go first regardless.

I currently use a 4 focus mage with 90 support [roughly] and highish tech [35 resistance] and the crits are awesome

reduces chance to be stunned :) can see all benefits when you mouse over the stat.

No means no!

If anything, the damage calculations right now are out of range. What I mean by this is that we are dealing much too great damage for the current level cap. We should be reducing luck + damage to balance things out. Just look at Focus, 95 health or lower. 3 hits of 32 damage will kill them. Agility's fault, but also because of how Focus is structured. Support is nothing but a means of luck + damage. If you increase it's characteristics too far, you will simply replace Strength as the player's choice of overpowered.

Yeah, Supporting this, since i was an old Support TLM using a support build with multi, mainly i was using it juggernauts battles, but since some start using it at solo, of course and after start Pwning str builds and ETC well since everyone are using str builds, any build that is more powerful than strenght build they should make it worse, and our "Lovely" mods and devs are actually supporting this... so don't waste your time at this subject, you will have no supporters since the build goes rare, I was actually mad about this and every time, i say something about this subject, all i hear is that Support as a stat is Op, Just tell me Hows that? Too many effects: Yes, All counting on Luck, Hell yeah... So i hope rabble froth which he lately made some balances, see if there is an ability to make support build alive again?

can't see how support is OP for any class WITHOUT artillery strike and even then......

I think too many remember the pain of being dominated by support mercs.

Should I make this a new thread: Primaries, Sidearms, Auxiliaries, Robots, all at 2 turns cooldown

Or 1 turn and reduce the power

?

wrong. u can still use it and it is still effective.

Back to topic:

i find support to be ok right now.it just needs a little buff say make it improve field medic by 1 for 20 points of support u have.

Support build is still usable. However if u compare it to a stat like strength then it is considered not so good.

I think support should have a greater influence on rage.

So that rage rate is slightly more determined by having higher support rather then STR abusers with little to no support getting rage as often as every 2-3 turns.

This is not designed to buff support more to nerf the abusers who neglect support yet have no disadvanates infact an unfair Advanatge when it comes to rage.

But giving support a more of a rage use would certianly make this stat a great contribution to all builds rather then just starting chance, auxiallry damage and minimising crits for its main use.

Yes support builds still work, but support is no longer a required stat for most builds and its leading to abusers being worse.
And after its removel from feild medic it has become a skill were you either abuse it or have as small as possible. And I think it should be changed to give a considerable advanatge to most builds.

well i can tell this will get out of hand soon so ill tell you why i think support builds are dead this is in random order:

1) heal nerf so we cant heal greatly anymore but since that has helped spamming heal i agree with that.

2) then they decided to add agility which limits how high your support can go to fit with your req i dont agree with this for obvious reasons.

3) taking deflect away from support which means less people will have support and more tankers also reduces the amount of support players.

4) reducing artillery so that cant spam that but it causes the other skills to be spammed from other classes and tac mercs always find a way around their nerfs doesnt make a difference to them but it makes a great deal to normal mercs who cant regain energy.


and yes they have been nerfed to an oblivion beacuse there have been at least 9 10 nerfs to support maybe a bit less.

umm point number 4 should be excluded reason being only 2 classes have artillery strike.

point 1: the devs should have never done that the should have just reduced the scaling for field medic instead of making it static.
point 2: woot agility affect hp not support
point 3: this is gr8 move because support improves aux. high support last time means u will rarely get deflect meaning most support build have a 100% strong dmg tool called zooka which is kinda unfair.

problem here is most build start to ignore support because they find it a useless stat. if the devs make heal improve with support at least support would be a useful stat.

@Luna: I think he meant stat diminishing returns and skill requirements. not agility.

I agree with you that support mercs are still great if you know how to play them. they start with 2 big attacks, stall, then finish with 2 big attacks.

Yea, thee builds need to shine again.

And I'm not just saying this cause I got Pirate Blunderbuss, Pirate Cannon and Cyber Cutlass. Really!

The Rage idea is pretty sound. I believe the problem with the current Rage is now, it depends on the difference between DEF/RES, not the actual number of DEF/RES. This causes loose cannons to crush Support User in Speed Rage.

is it really fun now? I love the IDEA of playing epicduel, but when I login and it's clone after clone after clone I soon realise ED is an awful game right now.
