So Zman2 just put out the question of how many different combinations can you create with the gear in EpicDuel. After a little math with is not completely exact because the wiki warns it might have dropped a few broken or rusty weapons when you section things off I came up with these numbers. Hunter(claws)=419,345,568 possible combos Hunter(claws or sword)=847,807,344 possible combos Mage(staff)=407,190,624 possible combos Mage(staff or sword)=835,652,400 possible combos Merc(club)=361,609,584 possible combos Merc(club or sword)=790,071,360 possible combos Sword user=428,461,776 possible combos(note this is anew calculation I just added) Now you can clearly see that epicduel has given us a ton of combinations and very time you hit 1v1 or 2v2 or Jugg you have a chance to see any of these combinations but in reality you end up seeing like 30 different combinations. Now if redo the math with only weapons from the top 2 levels, level 33 and level 34, and use the level 28 and up armors you end up with the numbers below. claw user=387,600 possible combos staff user=387,600 possible combos club user=387,600 possible combos sword user=244,800 possible combos These numbers in theory should be more realistic to what you see because you do not just fight cappers all day long you fight cappers down to level 28 or 29 which can use level 32 to level 34 gear though they would be much better suited with their won gear but I digress. The whole point of pulling up these rather large numbers is to show that even though the Dev's have given us a ton of possible diversity we still end up using pretty much the same gear as everyone else, all I want to know is why? Most level cap gear is just a slightly different form of another piece of level cap gear and with enhancements, and I know most people enhance their gear to some degree, it really doesn't matter which version you pick up because you can craft it into pretty much anything you want. But like I said early we still pretty much end up all using the same few different combos of gear, heck trade my carrierzooka in for a more modern aux and I'm pretty sure I will be able to find someone else using the exact same gear as me. In short, and you don't even have to read the post to answer this, why do you think everyone ends up on the same gear when it comes down to it?
