I was on the ED Q & A today and as usual there were the occasional "which is the best class thread". i looked at these and went "pfft Blood mage'
But i noticed some of the responses from fellow players indicating that CH and TM were very good in 1vs1 along with Bh and TlM being good together in 2vs2. I thought BM dominated 1vs1 along with CH and TM

Just wanted to hear your opinion about this

The balance tracker is showing a high percent of wins from the Str BM build so even if the players thought it was beatable the balance tracker says it is winning too much and should be modified.

that's because blood mages are to strong..i mean i don't know all their skills..but mages with malfunction..i mean..yeah that's not cool..tactical mercs should get something like that..because they don't have any disruption skills besides their grenades. And mages are just they have way to high dps..they definitely need to be nerfed.

ok seriously plasma cannon..needs to go ..that's just to much..they got to many dps skills..

And no, the blood mage reign isn't over. They just need to be more skillful with builds now :D

I can sometimes beat Blood Mages, but the biggest problem is that you're basically defending, until they use up their energy. At that point, they'll rage you. If you survive that, you end up constantly healing, while they heal just by hitting you -_-

I find that statement kinda weird OWA. Str BMs can't possibly be too strong. Cause if you take a look at the daily leaderboards you'll clearly see that str BM can't even get passed 90% win rate. I know other classes/builds that can do way better than that. I've seen almost everyone on forums complain about how strong/Oped str BMs. but with that ratio, who are they losing to?

The only problem I have with str BMs is that there's too many of them out there. and its a build that depends on luck. You can be lucky and block their beserker, deflect their gun and crit them. But they can also be the lucky one and go first, connect with their beserker, crit you and all that stuff even tho they have a minimum chance of doing so.

So I'm not sure what I feel about the Beserker--->Bludgeon. Seems like a nerf to their str build but a buff to their other builds, which is good for the class. But I guess we'll just have to wait and see :)

SO I guess what I'm saying is that I don't think they're nerfing str BMS because its overpowered in terms of high win percent. Yes it is powerful, but I think its mostly because they're fast, its a luck based build and that there's just way too many of them running around. (but I might be wrong xD)

They are probably the most powerful class at lvl 34 ( Despite being able to beat some that are 4-5 levels higher then me)
The devs said they will adjust them

@LadyHeartBreak: BM definitely not the most OP class, like you point out. but they definitely have the fastest win/loss build in the game and
that is the issue most are complaining about. winning fast is everything in faction races and daily leaderboard attempts and that's why their
are so many BM clones. and added to the fact, most "pro" players just copy the latest fad anyway and troll everyone like they are god's gift :)

it is an unfair advantage to a single class.

CH on the other hand has too much control over fights and definitely needs "nerfing". I still think only Mercenaries should have a passive armour, Hybrid.
Mineral and Plasma should be removed, then you can just give TLM their Smoke Screen back and CH their old Static Charge back, plus energy shield.

Lets be honest, it's those skills that made the classes fun, TLM with Smoke Screen would be no better off than Bounty Hunters anyway, a class that already
has to survive without a passive armour. so I don't see why the staff insist on keeping the gamebreaking passive armours and ruin enjoyability of the classes.
Cyber Hunters were being laughed at when they first launched, as the weakest of the evolved classes, but I bet if you reverted them back to that time, a ton
of players would still play the class cause it was so much fun without being OP. again, the passive armour tipped a good class into the realms of OP.

@ED Balance Team: no one really minds if you made a mistake [introducing new passive armours], we just want you to adjust for the sake of balance.

Well, as I stated in other posts, to me the main problem is with the stats revelance. What I mean is that when a player choose strategically to have only base stats in support for example, putting all his points in strength, he should never start the battle.

Same goes for spamming any other stats while having based stats in the rest. If you have very high dex, you should block like crazy. But if you have high dex that means you will get deflected alot, and almost never start figths as you have low support. Low support should get crit alot too.

I see way too many situations where a player have 100 pts more in a stat and still get deflected/block/crit or don't start. Luck is out of control.

These are just general examples.

By removing the luck factor and having the 4 stats actually meaning something, figths would become more strategic and no class would be op. I am so tired of the nerfs. Of by doing this, the game would be less user friendly. The learning curve would be alot steeper for new player, especially of they wish to cater to a younger audience.

Rigth now, I don't see the game going foreward. I understand that sometimes in life you need to take a step back to then move foreward better but it seems that we have taken 100 steps back and not a single one foreward.

ENOUGH WITH THE NERFS.

mr bones all you have said is very true with all the nerfs the fun is going from the game and it is luck based only now

Nerf STR BMs ! I got high dex, he got low and he connects all of his attacks?! WTH?!
Its OPed! Massive dmg, hp regain, luck factor on his side...
Ive got lv 29 BM so I know what im talking about.

Correct.

To be frank, a simple Tech Mage with a decent Defense Matrix (same goes for Cyber Hunters) can defeat a Strength BloodMage, because they have no major source of energy damage. Bludgeon is physical, as is Fireball.

STILL STICKING WIT MAH PLASMA RAIN OVERLOAD DEX BUILD FOR JUGG RAWRRAWRRAWR!

@clavier u are wrong... if u get some block there u just MAY beat BM. but if u have some 34-35 def u will get anyway unblocable skills like fireb4ll or 48 rage gun easyly... and a over 20x on strike if they lucky connect u.
If u make extreme dex is useless... couse u have to sacrifice too much HP... simply to a bm, fireball gun... and u got near 20-30 hp left...

A simple energy drain to prevent Berzerker is enough to stop most BMs in their tracks. So the simplest fix would be changing Berzker like they plan on doing in the next release. As for other builds for BMs, a caster build works quite well. It even managed to beat my abusive Str TM build.

The problem with Blood Mages is that they can still rage you... Sure, I can def matrix as a TM, but then what does it do? They still land 15 damage and in fact, their rage bar builds up faster... Even with 30+ dex than them, I only block their berserkers half of the time.

^Above: Dex and block chance is so so so broken... ive seen 19-20 def str bms connceting all of the hits on my 35> def dude, thats is really annoying... otherwise ive seen 30 def guys connecting just 50% of time on my dex.
Pretty weird dex and code there...
