Just wanted to mention that only an AK can make this an official ED thread. You might wanna remove the title :P


I personally hate 2v2 and my record shows why.

There needs to be a way to make it more fair for a player if their partner runs. An idea I have thought of is to automatically have one of the opposing sides players go AFK the entire battle to ensure fairness.

**NOTE

It will only work if the partner has not made a turn and had left the battle.

Like Ray said, only AK's are allowed to Tag a Thread, so I suggest to just remove the =ED= part.

2V2 is meh for me, it's on occassion fair but mostly it's me and a 29/30 vs a 34 and 33 or around that area

Aside from the occasional disconnect i say 2v2 is fairly balanced, but when there is only 1 one non-vaium in the fight and makes things a tad unbalanced

Engine should team up players based on their lvl and total stat points. Maybe it should also take into consideration wins/loses ratios?

maybe there should be like a lobby before you join figth, so you're able to see your partner, his reputation ( if he leaves from 2vs2 matches) so you don't start the game and notice your a juggernaut?

Some changes to 2v2 that I think should happen are

10 influence
if your partner leaves you get an extra turn (your turn, player1 on other teams turn, your turn, player2 on other teams turn, your turn, etc)
instead of needing wins the get higher ranks make it points. 1v1 = 1 point, 2v2 (and juggernaut) = 2 points.

The main reason I stay out of 2v2 is that, if your opponent leaves, you are almost always completely helpless. If a change were implemented where the one remaining player got to go once for every time either of his opponents went (in other words, take over what should have been his helper's turn) then 2v2 would be much less of a risk, and an overall better battle mode.

@Ranie well the only reason I 2vs2 is because I like the 2 player cooperation so making one player AFK...That would ruin it for the AFK person.

What I suggest is that if your partner leaves, you get to control your partner's char or you partner is replaced with an AI

Some of my suggestions for 2v2:

The minimum credits given in a 2v2 battle is 50 credits.
There should be a fame check box like there is one for ally chat, buddies, achievement, etc... If you fame them a message pops up on their screen which ask you would you like to fame back.
Additional influence and/or credits if your partner leaves.

Lol, I'm kinda stuck to 2v2 or NPCing, due to the fact that support<<<<defense<<offense in 1v1 especially.

so here I was tonight, hoping to finally close the once gaping negative gap in my 2v2 w/l%, and between 3 dc's, 2 with my partner having starter gear and no armor, and the fact that I rarely stun or crit despite usually having more than twice the support of my opponent as well as max SA. Needless to say instead of closing the gap, I just widened it by ten TwT

@ Rej. There would still be a problem in 2v2 even if you did get your "fled/dc'd partners turns, the other two players would just boost themselves or each other so it just prolongs the agony. Particularly if they are both level 34 varium players.

Not saying that you couldn't win ... just saying that it would be rare to get a win under those circumstances.

2vs2 has now turned into 2 1vs1 battles since the nerfing of the multis, which a small percentage of you thinks its just fine because you play 1vs1 more often as I been watching 1 player that only had 4 2vs2 wins since last Friday. In 2vs2 you have two targets and to win that match, you have to get as much damage as possible on both targets. So if it is two Hunters with 125 health against two Blood Mages, they have to get the multis off before the EMPs start flying. On those two Hunters the old Plasma Rain would get 35 damage, mind you they have low base resistance max Plasma armor, on each so if two Plasma Rains at 35 damage that is 70 damage leaving them with 55 health due to needing high dex the Blood Mages are weak in AUX and sidearm damage due to not being able to use overload because they got EMPed once again.

There is no more 2vs2 it has now become two 1vs1 or two 2vs1.

I just want the glitch gone that if a person lags out at the start of fight then nobody gets to go. the match never resumes so its just up to who ever is nice enough to leave first gets the loss. Hella annoying tbh.

@Hun Kingq: 2v2 has been 2v1 and 1v2 since I first started playing, only the old support mercs had a multi that was devastating and it was nerfed specifically because of that.

now every single class has had their multi nerfed so it's not like some classes were targeted and others weren't, I do agree that 25% less damage for 4 energy was a poor
trade off, but the staff did say they would adjust the % if it was deemed to be too low or too high so we just have to wait and see.

Multi is now a waste of energy becose same dmg could do it with regular weaps without energy cost

I still do multi on my OP build (LOLS Max Dexterity xD)


BUT I only use it on Rage so maybe that's why I haven't noticed anything.. :/
