I suggest a a reset button for characters.
The way it would work is you reset you level and credits, while keeping all your weapons, though you are lvl 1 again and have to work your way up.
This would prevent quitting if your account gets hacked, and it would keep long time/level cap players from getting bored.
It won't affect balance in any way at all.

 @dannii It would definitely affect balance. Higher levels would just buy a whole bunch of low level weapons if they didn't keep any low level promos and then just use Character Reset to keep fighting low levels that hardly know how to play.

doubt they would keep doing it if it resets your battle record along with it.

Not supported. What if someone get's hacked while they are fully powered? all said person would have to do is reset your character and sell all of your gear and boom you are at the newbie level again without your gear and only your cheevos.

@ND When you are at lower levels, stats aren't high enough to become the most op low level ever. The weapons are balanced in varium and non varium. And that's almost exactly the same as making a new character and buying a varium package.
@Bun then your battle record should be changed also.

Dude.... Some people pay lots of money for said weps. The only thing this encourages is hackers. We don't need this, this won't benefit anyone.

 @dannii An old retired mod used his Founder and Beta gear on one of his alts at around lvl 15 and won the Daily 2vs2 by a landslide and with a great ratio as well.

I support character reset, but not like how DanniiBoiixD said it. I want everything including all your weapons to be gone, the only thing you keep is your character name which you cannot change because then people would get a free name change but if you want to change your name along with it, you should add the price of name change to the character reset price. Also if you have any Varium left, it should stay since you payed real money for it, and maybe if you guys agree Promotional items too.

@ XapApp if they did this hackers would have a field day with this one. All they would have to do is get your account, and reset it and boom you would be without anything. It would be a complete and total nightmare and with the no reimbursing policy that person is screwed. As for leftover varium, the hackers could spend it on enhancements to starter items and then get rid of them until they are out of varium.

So I couldn't support your idea of doing this or any form of character resetting.

I would rather be reset back to lvl 1 with no gear rather than live with this account with a horrible win rate because of the losses it took me to get credits again

There will be security for this, there's many ways actually. Like UnityDestroyer said, e-mail confirmation maybe. Or you should be able to reverse the reset within the next 24 hours, or the next week or something.

How about you keep your weps, but you need email verification? Also all weapons in your inventory are gone until you reach the actual level of it? How does that sound?

How about only some rare weapons then? We shouldn't keep normal weapons we purchased with credits/varium because then people would buy some stuff before they reset to give them a boost once they reset.

Also, what do you guys think about achievements, should achievements like Founder, Alpha/Beta/Gamma Tester stay or not?

At UnityDestroyer Hackers can easily change the email address since it is an option for the players to do so. All they would have to do is change your email address and the original player would never get the email but the hacker would.

Well, how about undoing the reset if you get hacked then retrieve it? Any problems or issues with that?

This can never happen in game as you see...
Do you see AQW have a reset button where everything vanishes in thin air?NO
Do you see Mechquest have a reset button?NO
Do you see Dragonfable have a reset button?NO
DO you see AQ have a reset button? NO
As you can see if the other AE games don't have then it will be hard for us to get it like 'Trading'
No games in AE have trading because of hackers.
This trading is a very complicated code to prevent hackers from hacking.
Anyways...
Big games like Aqw have been here for years and they have more moderators.
They don't have a reset button. If one game had a reset button then i would agree but none of the AE games have a reset button.
Whats the point.....

If no other games have it because its an AE game then whats the point of us having it.
And even if we did have a reset button i wouldn't like the idea of my stars going.
And time to time i do get hacked which sucks (When i stop playing the game).

So I wouldn't appreciate the idea of it even if you could undo the reset which is impossible.
As moderators like Nightwraith trying to undo peoples weapons when they can't because its either:
1. You gave someones your pass
2. Your family or someone may know your account and password and might fiddle with the mouse.

Unless you have a good excuse then they will allow you.

EpicDuel is a PvP game so resetting could belong in EpicDuel. There really is no need to be able to reset in any other AE game.

 I still disagree.

And undoing the problem for the resetting will take time for the mods
as it has complicated codes to these things.
If you had a code sorted out for them

which had everything planned out e.g.
-You can reset
-Undoing the reset with all your 'weapons' and 'achievement' back.
-Getting all of your credits back and varium

This must be a complicated code to do for the mods
as they have to give back the weapon, achievements,credits and the varium back.

That must be a hard thing for them to do, and will give them more stress.

P.s
AQW have a PvP arena
The new game Oversoul is a PvP also
And AQ is a PvP also but its like an npc game (NON PLAYABLE CHARACTER).
All these game have a chance. Don't you think so?

Yes, but there is no need for you to reset for anything in those PvP places. I don't think there's any win/loss record in the other games.

I don't think it's that hard because they've done it to me in AQWorlds once when I got hacked. I told them the date that I last played and they were able to revert everything back to the last time I played.

 Yeah, thats because they have more staff.
And one game does have a win/lose ratio which is:
OVERSOUL & Mechquest
If ED had more staff then they could get more people to do other stuff and improve the game.
Back when ED was in competition with AQW, ED had to work '15 hours' a day ( i think but i heard it in the ED's Vids)
Which is tremendous amount of work.
Imagine them making a code which took forever to make.
The more Staff ED has, the better.
I think at the moment they have 5 staffs (Titan, nightwraith, Rabble froth, Charfade and Cinderella).
And AQW have 10+ staffs (Dont know the names because i like ED more then AQW).

What I'm trying to say is that if there are more staff then different people can work on different areas on the game.

And I guess you want to ruin the game as

OverSoul is new and does not need this at the moment.
MechQuest isn't live PvP and no one can see your win/loss records. I don't remember there being one anyway.

I do not want ruin the game, I want to fix it. My character is somewhat ruined so I'd like to fix it by being able to reset it. I do not want to create a new character because then I would lose my Varium, Character Name, and some rare things.

We got hackers all over the place and even with all the warnings that are given, hacker still get into people's accounts because they give them an offer for free varium or something like that. Even without this feature they can destroy your account once they get into it. We don't need them to be able to destroy your account and reset your character as well.

Also as it was stated before this feature would promote hackers rather then discourage them.

You can ask Nightwraith to reset your character if you have a good excuse why.
If you do give him a goodexcuse he will let you.
One of my lvl 35 friends got his account resetted.

I support it, is a very good idea because you have a chance to begin again but iŽd suggest the unlock system for the weapons that are rare and wonŽt return..

unlock systemŽd work: for example you have common bio hazard husk and you reset your character, said armorŽd cost in credits like 25 or 26 k and you wonŽt can use it till you pay that credits value and for varium weapons youŽd only have to save credits or you can sell the item for varium... itŽd be something like broken weapons
