idk what they have planned for balance in omega, specifically for support.
but how about taking out the diminishing returns on the support stat only to buff support builds?

basically, what this would do is, give the aux about 4 extra damage at the high end.

NOTE: things such as criticals, first turn, etc aren't affected by diminishing returns, so taking it out would not affect these aspects of support.

what do you guys think?

Supported, would allow 2v2 support build mercinary's to be returned aswell as giving all players more damage on their auxes and their buffs and debuffs would be more affective making it easyer to combat these overpowered builds such as tank builds or high damage builds

This would be good. They are adding healing back to support from what I heard, and thank to the first support nerf unless you are using a focus or support build, I see people walk around with base support for their classes for every other stat.

deflections is still on tech tho.
thats gonna be an issue of support vs tanks.

Yeah Deflections would be kept on tech and blocks on dexterity if this was to be implemented once again :)

this is essentially only going to power more tanks.
ur giving even greater defensive ability, to builds that only rely on defensive ability.

if u gun, u get deflect, if u dont get deflected, u still deal low damage.
if u get blocked, u deal nothing. if u dont get blocked, u deal low damage.

its pretty much saying "would you like to die by the sword or the poison?"

Thats why they should be kept on the stats so that only tanks get all blocks and delfects? and besides i can destroy all tanks saving my stronger/ unblockeable attacks for rage

thats not as easy as it sounds. any good tank who can put out damage (i.e. 5 focus, bunker) will give u a hard time.

anyway, the point of that was that atleast one of them shouldn't be on a defensive stat, because tank builds were strong before the deflection change. (see 2 vs 2ers who used tanks to clutch games. i used to be one)

Buff support builds? yes.

Definitely.

Without SUP, there's one less stat in the game. it's horrible how I love using SUP builds but I can't because of diminishing returns and the luck factor removal.

Great idea GoldSlayer.

@goldslayer1 as did i, but a good support build after its rebuffed how it should be can combat it, doing maggive damage with their aux, massive damage with the multi ability and massive changes to crit? it gives Mercinaries the rebuff they so much deserve, even tacts have the multi and would be using it with their looping abilities? as i said omega combined with the supp being rebuffed as far as damage is concerned will make gameplay epic again and we will see more mercs about

merc multi, back then used to be 100% damage. and the multi skill had a 10% armor piercing (meaning about 5-7 extra damage each)
they took the 10% bonus out. seemed fine at the time.
then, they go and make the multi into 85% damage. now its even weaker.

the thing about artillery strike, is thats it the only multi that improves without a defensive stat.
plasma rain and multishot improve with tech and dex. tech and dex offer defenses (def/res, blocking, deflections, robot damage)
artillery strike brought extra damage and criticals by putting more support.
multishot brought more blocks and defense by putting more dex.
and tech now brings resistance, robot damage, and deflections with technology.

what im saying is, support wouldn't become OP if field medic was brought back to support. (along with this suggested change)

How about reducing the 20% Crit chance to an amount b/w 15 - 10% ? Their gonna get their old FM back so i don't think they should still have a Bunker Buster-like Crit chance .

those are skill specific tho.

a good bunker buster requires ALOT of tech, with a decent build (as in balance hp, energy etc,) a bunker build wont have that high of a support to make a huge difference.
if they use high support build with bunker, then bunker wont be as strong because of the low tech.

Bunker blaster doesn't work with support for crit chance at all. It is already at a fixed 25% chance to crit along with Plasma cannon and cheap shot.
