Hey Guys,

I've Heard that Msn [WLM] is Closing in March 2013 that's what i saw on BBC.News and i am wondering since msn is closing in march 2013 whats will happen about our ED Emails They gonna be deleted or no. cuz if they gonna get deleted that's means our ID Transactions and our account informations will be gone, so im just wondering if it's true or no , im asking cuz it's posted in BBC news. and i think Mods\Devs might know about this so we need an answer to know if our email will be safe or not after msn Close in march 2013.

That was a quote of their notes :

 I own a Hotmail account and when I changed it to the new interface, I had choice of keeping Hotmail or going Outlook. Both will work, so xxxxxx@hotmail.com will now be xxxxxx@outlook.com AND both will work, so you can use @hotmail and get it delivered to @outlook.

@Wootz i just tried my email on Outlook and it worked i think @hotmail @live works 100% on outlook.com cuz both of them are in Hotmail Options when u create ur email.

I believe so. It should since Hotmail was under one company, which included Live. Besides, VIX also confirmed it. I believe we'll be forced to move to Outlook at some point (automatically) but @hotmail & @live will redirect it to @outlook for those who had 'em.

how exactly do 2 accounts "share" the same name on outlook?

 That's not something we can answer. You should email Microsoft or look around online. Unless the change will not be automatically done and you'll have choice of going Outlook or keeping current one.

Just to clear things up though, as far as Microsoft have announced, all Windows Live/MSN accounts will be made compatible with Skype which Microsoft purchased for a very large sum of money, hence why they are shifting focus and assets to aid that, and that will be their primary Messenger program which they develop, getting rid of MSN. All email accounts will be kept, and as has been stated the whole hotmail system will be moving over to Outlook online, no emails will be deleted etc. so no need to worry about that. Microsoft will make sure that no one is overly affected by the change.

If you are still worried however, one idea you can always use is to either use another email that you own, or create a new email and simply forward across your important emails. However it should not be needed, as Microsoft will not be changing the hotmail/live system to the point that all accounts/emails are deleted.
