Do you think EpicDuel will still be good?
Does it matter since Agility is removed?

World buttons --> Fine.
Agility removed --> Great , because i can have my 140 HP be efficiently used .
HP and EP ( starter ) increased ( +10 on both ) --> Would make any build epic !
-- flip side --> 1 Stat Point = 1 HP / EP --> uh-oh .

And like what G00NY said , some features are temporary , so pray that the other mechanics won't become worse .

Lol Aegis, with only 136 total stat points to spend, you will be kicked around by just about anyone.

In my own opinion , EpicDuel would just seem better for new players.
Look at the how the "Switch World" Buttons have changed. They would easily know how to switch worlds.

The only thing not satisfied with:
1 stat to 1 health? A no for me. At least stay the same~
1 stat to 1 energy is fine tho. It might stop those MAX massacre builds and probably casters.

Honestly this is probably the change that worries me the most.

The reason behind it though is simple:
Currently health is far and away the best way to spend your stat points, and Agility was a reaction to the fact that everyone realized this and just dumped a ton of points into HP.

Unfortunately, Agility creates a "soft cap" of health since no one wants to see negative stats on their character. So everything feels restricted and bad. Our goal was create more freedom without reintroducing the original problem.

Now if you want to have a high-health build, you'll have to make some pretty significant sacrifices elsewhere. Likewise, if you want to dump a ton of points into Strength, you'll have to sacrifice more health/energy than you do currently.

We'll be watching this one very closely to see if there are any unintended consequences of the change, but in general I think it's a big step in the right direction.

This is the worst way to cover Agility, agility is better than this change.

1 HP/EN for 1 stat will destroy all builds except 5 focus. I dont remember if you were working at ED in gamma but this will be 2nd Gamma disaster. Everyone will use 5 focus builds.

Almost all other builds except 5 focus needs high hp for sustain. Only with this change its almost imposible to do any other build than 5 focus + there is stat diminishing.

I also need to mention luck factor, with current system lets assume you use 140 hp build, 1 crit will take away average 1/3 of your hp, with the new system it will take 1/2 of your hp which means the luck factor will be more dominant in battles.

1 HP per stat + stat diminishing + increased luck factor will kill all builds, this will cause a str build almost have same dmg with a tank build or a tech caster build will have almost same dmg with a tank build. You can forget about str builds- caster builds- support builds.

As a pro ED player im totally against this new change. Please dont make this real.



I dont understand why developers try to buff tank builds more, A good 5 focus tank build already win all str builds or caster builds. I think current game balance is fine, we just need class balance.

A tank build doesn't have to be 5 focus and also you can focus your stats more in omega so your str can be mostly wep str and you can put more stats in hp
@gold
Energy is still 2 per 1 point so you can use a bunch of skills that improve with dex/tech and they have less hp to cover it with

its just my opinion, ofcourse we cant know much before it actually happen but there is some obvious facts that will lead to the thing i have said. We will see :)



With this change almost all skills will be useless, spending 30 energy to hit +5 dmg more than robot (maybe even less) is just wont worth.

Mods/Devs said they want to reduce the importance of passives in battles, but with this change game will be played with Passives and Heal , other skills just wont worth their energy cost. Maybe Bunker Buster or Plasma Cannon can be usefull IF you can crit.

I personally think it will be fine.


People seemed to be so worried about say massacre builds but na, they will be so weak STR wise that massacre itself will probably be the biggest threat in which 5/6 classes can energy drain and the 6th has intim.

perhaps u haven't seen my focus massacre build.

basically, its a focus build capable using field medic twice, or smoke 3 times, or 1 massive high massacre.
cant use all of them, but in most cases, wont be needing them all.

energy wise, it wont be a problem for me because it doesn't have more than 47 energy (currently 2 more than BH's base)
and they are increasing base Hp and EP (ill have a big mass with a focus build just from base EP)

what will this do?
well, i can start with robot. gun/strike , aux/strike and massacre.
if ur alive after mass, i have rage robot coming for u after that.

thats under this system of course where enemy builds have weak HP.

Like I said energy drain.


Plus like others have also said, Just wait and see.

That does seem like a decent build, (I love focus BHs)

But there are many counters for massacre.

I know whatever class I use, I never let my opponent get of a clean massacre if it would make me lose.

and thats the good thing about this build.
seeing how focus seems to be OP under this system, u can go ahead and waste ur turn EMPing.
i still have focus as part of damage. thats if i dont EMP u first, which then allows me to use smokescreen for more damage.
and ontop of that, a heal if need it.

^ Thats great if you have your build sorted.

Despite you explaining how OP it is, I still think the HP adjustment will be ok, But I will be sure to let you now once omegas out and I dont like it.

In my opinion, I think that we should not compare the amount of HP we get per stat point to str/dex/tech/sup.

Adding your stats to str/dex/tech/sup not only add defense and resistance (+1 damage per 4 stats)/(+3 def/resis per 3 stats) but will also improve some of your skills, like tech not only increasing resistance but also damage of plasma bolt.

On the other hand, health is not related to anything. Adding health will ONLY increase your health. Hence i think that +1 health per stat point simply makes health UPed and useless and promote very quick battles.

Therefore these things simply are not comparable.

I think that the current system of 2 health per stat point should stay the way it is.

This is just my opinion.
