Hello! Its Giras.

Anyone remember me? :P

I've been inactive for quite some time (about 10 months) and coming back, I'm pleasantly surprised.

There's been lots of progress and improvements in a lot of ways. First of all, the retraining system is much easier and allows for much better build planning. Also the system for unlocking and equipping helmets is much better now. I know both of those changes were player suggestions and it makes me glad to know our voices are heard. Also, the weapon finder tool is a really neat way to get a new weapon without clicking around on the wiki. Also I can't say I'm against the new special skills weapons and players have, and the buying varium gives you "keys" to unlock special bonuses. That is a very smart system. I particularly like how level levels buying varium can get weapon packages. Also, the "did you know" feature is cute and handy to lower level players. Plus I am very happy with the direction the artwork has taken. I used to be the most adamant crusader against giant, bulky armors and I am glad to see that Delta Knight and Platinum's Pride both have a more reserved and subtle design. Plus armors that give equal bonuses to defense and resistance open some strategic possibilities.

As far as balanced is concerned, I am surprisingly happy. I am warming up to the idea that heal should not be related to support and that deflection should improve with technology, as long as support gives much more significant improvements to initiative, crit, and rage. I am glad to see that "extreme" high hp and high stat builds can work now. The only thing concerning me is that a certain robot may be a bit much, but that belongs in a different thread.

My point here is that I am an old founder player returning, and I am happy. I think epicduel is making progress and becoming a better game. I am a little crestfallen that the player base hasn't exploded. I would love to see an Epicduel with 10 full servers like AQW.

Who else is impressed with this games progress?

Goony
Constructive!

Hey Giras Wolf,

Welcome back and yes the game has progressed :)

Those new features, you mentioned, will pale into insignificance when Omega is launched sometime in January! This will hopefully address the player base issue and bring some more features and diversity into the game. I am looking forward to the next 6 months as the developers have some very nice plans for the game ;)

Battle On...
