So alot of us (Like myself) cannot compete in this competition or do it enough to win because of things like boarding school complications and the fact that many of us school students are really studying hard for exams and working alot on projects (Aren't semester school funs!). Now we haven't got an update or rather release in a long time (Not complaining there working hard on Omega), so we've just been 1v1ing and 2v2ing all the time since thats the only thing we can do and now with the competition we'll be doing this even more. I love the idea of the golden Yeti, but I don't think ED is ready for a competition, maybe it is, but I'd rather not have a competition, you may dissigree, but if your in school like many of us are we have exams and cultimating projects this time of year and we really don't have any time to play in those two weeks or even month.

I'm not saying just give us the yeti because the 2 for 1 was very generous, but with all of these complication affecting most of your youth players, it will be hard to keep up.
Maybe the first 100 people who got the golden ticket can get the yeti ( I know this idea sucks, but I'm just spit balling here) or.....
The top 100 people recieve a free yeti and the other people who couldn't go in this competition can purchase it at a shop for 2000-3000 varuim and a large sum of credits and if you have the golden yeti card. I know this defeats the point of the competition as most people would buy it, but then again if most people are buying it that's makes you much more likely to recieve it free, also you cannot win a free one if you've already bought one.

Not supported as that would defeat the whole purpose of the bot being an ultra rare if anyone with this ticket could just go and buy it. I know it sucks that many of us won't be able to fully do this competition due to it being delayed and school, however this does happen in real life and while it may inconvience us is there anything we can do about those things other then suck it up and deal with it? Lord knows how many times this has happened to me and annoyed the crap out of me in real life but there was nothing I could do about it.

 I have to agree with mother1 on this one, being a "golden" yeti means it's extremely rare. If you could just go and buy it, then that'd pretty much destroy the purpose of it. I'd really wish the tourney will be something based off of another concept other than play time though, as I think everyone who is participating deserves a fair chance, even with school and such.

 If they were to put the golden yeti in the shop it would probably defeat the purpose of the tourney(logically). I know that I would just pay the 2000-3000 varium to get the yeti instead of farming for some "tourney" lol.

You could buy the delta knight and that's becoming ultra rare. Also it was just an idea, but Mother1 if you are a student you'll know most of us have more then 3 exams to study for and big projects I won't have the time to play, you may but not me, or you may be in school in that case your not bias (If I'm using that term correctly). Also you have to order the 10k pack, have the ticket and pay a large sum of credit of varuim so it is fair, and if they implement this you just get a better chance to get a free golden yeti since most people are buying it so they can't get one from the tournament. Plus delta knight is becoming ultra rare you got to buy it and it was pretty cheap too, this yeti, you have to order to 10k pack, have the ticket, and pay alarge sum of varuim and creidts like I said before, so since you can buy ultra items I see no reason with doing it now.

@above delta knight is different, it is a late phase promo so they have to make it available for people to get it for a expensive price that is, with the golden yeti is different since you already got 2 packages for the price of one, the golden ticket is just a bonus to win a exclusive prize, so making it available for purchase would destroy the whole purpose of it, no matter how much it costs.

also i have school homework/studies/exams too, that means i might not be able to compete like you but hey you can't have everything in life, so deal with it.

But it isn't ultra rare yet isn't it? It is becoming ultra rare when delta is over. In fact every item that is ultra rare isn't buyable. It was either given as a gift or it was only rare when you can buy it so that defeats that arguement of buying ultra rares right there.

Also I am a college student as well and like you I have things I need to do in school as well. However, we all know real life happens and there isn't anything we can do about it but deal with it. Do you know how many times people have to deal with these things and sacrifice the things they want to do? Only a lot and can we say no wait this isn't a good time for me so can we do it later? Not unless you want to experience some negative backlash.

When the staff made events and storyline go rare, did they bring them back because other people wanted to do the missions for the cheevos and other rewards? No they didn't. Did they bring back rare promo's such as the gamma bot or the beta weapons for people who wanted to buy them after they went rare? No because it wouldn't be fair for those who got them on time. It would be the same thing if they postponed this tournament just because it would be coming at bad timing for some people.

I may sound like I have no heart, but believe it or not life is like this. The staff might do this, but if they did it would defeat the whole purpose of it being ultra rare since as I stated before no item started as ultra rare and was buyable in the game. It was either a rare and you could buy it (Beta weapons, delta knight) Or it was given to you through an event or prize (Alpha weapons, founder bike, ten year titan)

 Like Mother1 and others said, if the bot was sell-able it would defeat the entire purpose of it being ultra rare, and it wouldn't really be a competition. It does stink that a lot of us, including myself, will not be able to participate in this amazing one of a kind competition. To be perfectly blunt, it doesn't make sense at all to sell the prize of a competition...

Now, I'm sorry that YOU cannot participate in the event, but it is not fair to the people who can participate if the reward was being sold. Logic, right?

Sometimes life's not fair, but I guarantee you that you will get over it, after all, it is just one golden yeti.

@Practel I'm surprise you haven't reliazed this already as you are part of the staff. This is a childrens game, this means the majority of players are children. This also means the children who are the majority, overule the minority of older players. If you haven't taken into account children don't have much time to play during week days, so this means the majority of players will not be able to fully enjoy and participate in this tournament. Now what you also failed to realize is if the majority of players cannot participate in this event this will upset the majority of players. I think it is in the best intrest of the staff to appeal and accomadate to there needs as they make up a large sum of the players data base. This is why it was unwise that they didn't release this tournament during Chrismas or other hoildays where children have more time to participate in said events.

This is why I proposed this option. You can either get it free from wining the tournament, or pay a large sum of varuim creidts and money to get the yeti if you don't have time, this other option would be the said accomadation that wa smentioned in the paragraph above. So either win the tournement and get it free or buy it for a large sum of currency. Let's repersent the two variables in a equation...

Time - Cost= Yeti
Cost - time= Yeti

So as you can see this is balanced.

Also Practel Delta knight is an armor that is soon to become ultra rare, it is also buyable in shop. I proposed that you pay even more creidts and varuim and must have purchased the 10k pack with the golden ticket offer, so this is 10 times as costly as the delta knight armour, so you say it's defeats the purpose then I guess Delta knight must not become ultra rare as it would ruin the concept right. Logic right?

And this dosen't defeat the purpose of this event the tourment gives you the chance to get the yeti for free, and the shop allows you to pay a large sum of currency to buy it. So what's the point of the tounament? To get it for free so you don't have to pay, what's the point of the shop, to accomadate to said players. So the shop dosen't dfeat the purpose simply supplys a different way to obtain the yeti.

You see if you do not attend a school currently it's harder to see my point of view as I do.

Pratcel and mother1 I admire your opnions however and I respect them aswe'll.

And if the majority cant play because of school, dont you then think you still have a chance?
Since everyone has to go to school, no one can play.

There will always be some older players that will reach the first 50 places.
but the rest will be avaible for the people who go to school. I mean how much do you see people on the daily LBs day in and day out.
I only know a few players who are always on the daily LBs, and that are not even 50 players, so we still have a good chance.

I am also one of the players who cant really play, because of exams and working as a trainee after the exams, but i still think that i can make it in the last 90-100 places if i try hard enough.

So lets first see how it will be the first 2 weeks of the tournament instead of immediatly complaining about it.

Am I complaing though? I simply offering another way to obtain the yeti that is balanced. Also it is in the best intrest in the staff to acomadate the majories of players. That means we should have the same chances as the older players, not A small chance whereas they have a big one.


How would it defat the purpose of a tournament though? If the shop gave a free yeti then it would, but since it trades times for cost and vice versa it's balanced and no purpose it defeated in the end result. Again whats the purpose of the tournament to get the yeti for free, whats the point of the shop, to get it for a large sum of currency to accmandate said players so it is fair.

A complaint would be "I hate that that I can't get the yeti the staff should have done it better", This is mine "Let's offer an alternative option to players who can't recieve the yeti to be fair", so in all fairness it can't really be considered a complaint. Also if you read my post above this shop dosen't defeat the purpose of the tournament and acutually may make it more interesting.

Yes, the majority of the people are childrens, but you got to understand the fact of a 'Golden' Yeti.
Can't you see what a 'GOLDEN,GOLDEN,GOLDEN,GOLDEN (Repetition)' yeti is?
Do you think something 'Golden' be available in-game.
No you have to work hard for it.

Its like an example of Black Ops 2, with a diamond camo. Yes a 'diamond'!
Now, would you think Call Of duty will let everyone pay for the Diamond camo
Buy paying microsoft points?
No you would have to earn the diamond camo in-game on each gun.

Just think about 'Gold' for a moment, You have to earn 'Gold(Same thing like mining)' to get what you want
Think about that, If Gold was sellable in-game, it wouldn't be rare because alot of people will buy it.
And when Omega comes, things in-game are sellable like the Yetis for example, this could stack up into a conclusion for the non-variums buying 'Gold' Yetis because people will complain that if the variums can get it, why not the f2p players?
Just think about it.

Just think for a second about what 'Gold' is.
Do you think in real life or in gaming; that......
Wouldn't you have to work hard to get gold?

 Astral, a majority of the players are indeed young players. However, each player has a different scenario if they can play or not. I am in school, and I see where you are coming from, but the Golden Yeti will be restricted to the top 100 participants. Selling is not a good route to go.

To be honest, it is a simple Baby Yeti. All you do is. Go on Flash pro. Open the Baby Yeti file. Replace the original colors with gold...

It's just a simple, stupid but awesome looking yeti. I am in the same situation as you though. I can't participate. I thought the earth was supposed to be greener. This will make loads of people play 24/7 using electricity. :P

If there was a limit for the first 2 weeks on how much you can get, it would make it fair. On the last week, you can do whatever you're supposed to do. EpicDuel is taking into new features and I like it. I loved the Infernal War. It all turned out great and just wait, you'll get your chance at something in the future.

well, the shouldn't make it based off wins, nor should the just give it to people. A tournament is not who get most wins but rather who progresses to the next sage. I think the should make it like an actually tournament not juts who gets most wins. On top of that the tournament should start the week or more after omega is released so people can get use to things. if you ask me the golden yeti will just be a collection just like the rest of the yetis, so I don't see why your so anxious to get your hands on one, unless your a collector.

So that is that the real reason you want them to sell it in game? So you can collect it without real work because the staff delay the release of omega to while you are in school? Cause that is what it sounds like to me from your last post.

Many of us will be in school, but the staff can't just make something buyable in game just because of those who have free time when omega comes and those who don't even if the mass majority are children. The game never worked that way and neither does the real world.

How about a scheduled competition
Such as :
8 PM server time, it is player A vs. player B, the winner advances
If they are not there by 8:10 PM, the player who is late, is disqualified

Then it's a first to 3 fight

So it can be scheduled for you one hour after dinner, but then it could be 2 pm for me and then its impossible for me to login and thereby i lose...

That was why it was made as a 30 day tournament so everyone no matter what the time would have a fair shot to get the prize. Your idea like Sr zeph call it will screw over anyone with a different time zone.
