Hey guys. Shouldn't we be able to switch classes for free? In the beginning of a level 1, they choose a Bounty Hunter. When they get to level 6, they think "Nah, I dont like this class." But they have to wait until level 30 or something if they change their class for 50,000 credits, or have to spend money for Varium then switch classes. I just think that its unfair for beginners and even experienced players to wait for 50,000 credits or spend money. Who supports?

Would be unfair to those that already paid multiple times to chance class

It costs to switch so players won't class jump if it gets OP. And you pretty much miss the whole experience of restarting the game by changing the class (rather than making new character). Varium cost was 1.5K before and no Credit option and it was brought down to 900 Varium instead. It's to prevent abuse of classes by putting a "limit" on it which is a payment for the change. Appreciate that there's Credit option and almost twice as low cost for Varium.

But dont you think that players have the right to change classes for free? I mean come on, its a little harsh to wait until 50,000 credits or spend 10$ or higher.

I support this until one reaches level 10. A major problem with it being free for higher levels would be people class hoping to the most overpowered class in the game at any given time. The probability of this being implemented is very unlikely.

The cheevo could be rare.

I agree ED. And Trans, its bad though. Its negative that beginners need to spend money or wait until they get enough credits.

That's why change is discouraged. Instead you make a new character and replay the game for free. Abuse is another thing which is justified by the price for the change. Beginners are beginners, they can start new character and get to the same level as their main character much faster. Credits come easy anyway. In Omega, NPCs will be unlimited and grant Credits (higher than PvP IIRC) so that will make it even easier.

Of course I support this, I definitely wouldn't mind saving 900 varium every single time I class change.

But additional classes like Cyber Hunter require massive credits or 900 varium. But new characters cant use the additional classes.

Exactly Nub Apocalypse!

Not supported. there is a reason that class changes cost 50K credits or 900 varium. It is to make the player look before they leap. This would only promote spammy class changes without a second thought and causes problems in the system mainframe.

I'd say cap it at 15 so that you can experiment with each classes ultimate a little bit.
As long as the cap is a fairly low level like that, i can see this drawing in many new players (meaning more varium purchases).

Wait heres an idea. How about each 10 levels you go up, you can change your class for free. Is that supported? Its to make sure each player is comfortable with their class and build. But fair so you pay creds/varium, but change class for free every 10 levels.

I actually think that free change up to level 15 would be better than a free change every 10 levels. Players should experiment around in the beginning and then eventually lock into a class, as opposed to randomly switching throughout their levelling progression.

@xendran no it is not a good idea, you want to change class? then you better work for it, thats what i like about this game, you have to work to reach your goal.
bringing in alot of players, yes it would, but gaining profit from doing this, no. most can easily determine what kind of classes will be good for them at level 15 since all skills on the skill tree will be available for them.

@TRizZz: Nobody is class changing at level 15 anyway. The extra players would outweigh the very small loss of the almost non-existant level 15 and below class changers.

@xendran im not so sure, unless they become hardcore varium spenders or class changes, most would not change classes so many times once they find their desired class, so not in any way im supporting this, people like to benefit from the game and have fun, i get that, but free items or using anything for free without using efforts is unacceptable.

Err, exactly how are all freebies intolerable though?

We get 200-250 credits (in that range) on each new character, is that worth rioting over?

For gifts, as long as everyone gets the same "freebie" from administrators, there is no true player imbalance. If everyone started with 10000 credits, should we break into stores out of anger? If everyone is or can be rewarded equally either through time or money, that is ideal then, right?

Back to class changes, pretend we were able to unlock a class for 3000 varium. Yes in the distance EpicDuel earns less on this selling of classes, but they have plenty of time to implement something else not as related to gameplay as class changes that can be sold for varium to make up for the loss of income from class changing. This is just as effective using skill cores or selling items as art.

Not supported.

Only if everyone who have already class-changed should get a full refund of every single change.
This would be a big punch in the face off everyone who has changed in the past.
