Intro :
To my fellow ED players ,

Omega had already come in as easy as pie way fashion . Suppos that you guys are pleased right now because there's better balance in store , but because majority of the complainers are saying ,"Omega should be released.... NOW!!," ( which i assume most of those were social medai site users like Twitter followers ) the "promised future" turned into a total wreck , because balancing , in reality , isn't as easy as it seems and i was both pissed off and surprised that it was immediately released in just a few weeks of February . Not that i'm blaming here or saying "I'm better than anyone" , just expressing my reason why i'm suggesting an idea.

One of those is the pricing : Credit gain relationship . As we all know NPCs now give low Credits ( it's understandable since it's unlimited challenging for "easy" Credits ) . But the fact that items that are Seasonal-Rare are limited by time , you wont be able to make those just for one weapon if you're going to go PvP because of the wrecked balance.

The Idea :

I'm seeing players suggesting ,"Lower item prices," but others say ,"No , it's unfair if they get lower" , so what would my proposed solution be ? Deflate prices ? Nah , no need too . So what i have in mind is making them stay longer , like 1.5 - 2 months span instead of the usual 1 month . That way , we can still have a win-win situation : Varium players still can get their time advantage while Non-Varium players are able to be equal in terms of getting certain items that they want .

Then when there new weapons coming out , the current weapons must stay for 1/2 - 1 month just for them to be released ( Promos are exemptions ) .

Example :
Let's say it's Saint Patrick's Day ( Event ) , and you wanted Celtic Cleaver , but you couldn't afford it because you have no time to farm , so instead of it lasting for only until April , it could last until May or June , but before it leaves , the next weapons will come first before it leaves .

Well , that's all i can say for now , so i'll start farming right ... about ... NOW!

Supported, but maybe not to long? Because it would be weird to see a celebration that supposed to end but it's longer.(Not including frysteland).

^ Not much you can buy for 100 variums. And that wasn't really what he was talking about.

Just to make a point, I would hate for it to stay as long as dragon saga and such. I couldn't sell my extra dragon gear and platinum's prides, particularly since the saga lasted for literally 1/4-1/3 of an entire year.

Not supported especially with seasonal rares. Items are supposed to be around for a set period if they are season and then leave. They aren't supposed to be around longer. You might as well just make them regular items since they would be around when they are out of season.

@Mother
I don't really just care about looks , it's actually the Skill Cores and Rarity that matters ( for me at least ) .

@ Lord

The point I am trying to make is that this idea defeats the purpose of seasonal rare's. If that core is part of a seasonal rare then the core itself like the item is seasonal rare. Plus the whole point of omega is to either work for what you want if you are a non varium or if you don't want to work for it buy it with varium to save time. Having things stay longer just because you don't want to farm when it comes into season is completely the opposite of what the staff is trying to promote.

If you know something is coming then start farming early so by the time it does come you can be either close or have the money to get it. we don't need to make seasonal rares stay around longer just because some people want them but can't get them on time.

Epic duel never worked this way before, and neither does real life normally.

Correction : i do farm . Just in a slow rate because of OPed builds scattered plus bad-luck here and there.

I actually here that they're gonna replace the Christmas rares earlier than expected because it was released immediately ( see here ) . And yes , i know , Varium is suppose to give you a ( super ) easy way out so that's why i suggested longer durations instead of lower prices .

I was on a out-of-town trip 2 days before Omega came , and i didn't know they're gonna release Omega that fast .

I didn't mean you as in you personally. I meant it as saying any person who knows something is coming but instead doesn't want to farm but wait to the last minute.

Also the Christmas rares were out since December 21 when they made the pre order so those have been out for a while at least 2-3 months so there is nothing sudden about these leaving.

Plus early for farming can be from between the day they took the season rare out to before the day it came in.

seriously, there is alot of solutions to this:
-wait till the next time if you missed it this time.
-plan ahead, save up credits 1-2 months before that event arrives.
-do PVP and not care for the win/loss ratio, it is really your own problem if you can't deal with losing once in a while, its just a few digits that doesn't really matter at all, the option is always there when you are desperate.

it is completely irrelevant, seasonal rares always come at their set date, regardless of other events like the release of omega, you should have known that.

I did know that( the "last boldened part") , but not all of those did ( the "first boldened part" ).

Above yes they do, and I'm sure it wouldn't take more than 10 days max to get enough credits for a item if you are playing 3-4 hours a day, you have plenty of time in a month, sometimes they last more than a month, like the frysterland event.

@Triz
Actually they didn't , because the fraction of the release was , um released , and that was before Omega came , so that's why it would've been better if they stayed longer .

@above so? they still released all the weapons/items there is to get, they also said that all items ingame and the baby yetis will have a credit and varium option long before omega is released, so that gives more you than enough time to get prepared, there is no excuse

^ I don't see why would they remove all instead of the released fraction before the other items were released . I mean , just part of it ,then there are more parts of it not released but will leave earlier than the duration of the fraction part?
