Chapter 2: As Liria Fell
I was considered the hero of Liria then.The king ordered me and my squad to escort him to a meeting at The Glied Spire for a Diplomatic Mission.I foolishly accepted,and started the Start of the End.
"I'm proud of you,Raiix,we would have never won if you had not gone to the tower."
"Danke,Sire.But he was no big deal,no big person in army or noblity."
"What.You just killed our main trouble!All Liria owes you getting rid of it!"
We finally got to the spire,and my fate sealed.
"Well,well.The King Vlad.I've been waiting this for long."
"Let's just go ahead.I got no time for mocks."
"Alright,here are my terms.You will surrender,hand to me all your troops,and swear to never attack Liria again."
"But what do I win?"
"Peace,it's a great thing."
"I will not suffer the tyranny of a corrupt king!"
And Vlad stabbed King Lire,I tried to attack,but I had to flee,he was too powerful.As soon as I got to the camp,I told the General Vizer that Lire died.
"WHAT?!?!YOU DID NOTHING TO PROTECT LIRE?!?"
"I-I-I could not,sir!I had to come to tell you!"
"I see.YOU ARE A GLIED SCUM!TROOPS!CARRY HIM TO THE DUNGEON,I HEARD ENOUGH!"
I woke up chained,with no armor and disarmed.
"Look.The assassin just woke up."
"Hey,guard,you are too coward to come here and tell that to me,aren't you?"
"You will swallow your words,you scum!"(They just love to call me like that.)
Anyways,I had a hard time killing the guard,but I did succeed.I took the guard's cloak and ran to the executioner room.
"You are too anxious for tomorrow,aren't you?Don't worry,you'll not wait!"
And I took his eyes out of his head with a metal bar.(Still I don't know how I am that skilled)
Ahem,let's go on.The executioner's sword was my prize,though I wouldn't keep it for long.
On my way to outside,I found Cain,he just got out of the torture room,bleeding heavily.
"You,here?I thought you were the hero of all Liria,how in the world you ended up here?"
"By the fault of your king,and I see Lire was no merciful leader,anyways,you know how to escape from here?"
"Sure,there is a way to escape,but not for both."
"What do you mean by 'not for both?'? "
"We will have to wreck the prison,I know a spell to destroy it,but I will need some time and ingredients,some silver and ash,plus a source of fire.Also,the spell requires lifeforce,meaning I will die."
"How am I supposed to get the ingredients?!?"
"You must,or we will both stay here."
