What's your thoughts to where EpicDuel has reached? Do you still have the urge to play everyday?

Is it better, worse than the past?

I would say it's progressing.

It's currently better than other phases(BETA might be arguable)

Everyone has a fair chance of winning(in most cases)


Fantastic path, but they have yet to get to the other side.

No way near as good as I thought omega would be, mainly due to bad core ideas and bad balance changes.

It was never more boring for me. As you cannot protect your win ratio anymore, I really get unmotivated to try hard to win so I end up fighting carelessly. Which makes me bored really fast.
Oh and it was never less strategic than now.

Do you still have the urge to play everyday?
No, I actually stopped playing. Nothing makes me want to play anymore.

Is it better, worse than the past?
Hard to tell. It was pretty much the same overall, but it was me who was much more excited about it.

It was fun back at the stages of Delta, but for some reason it's not as compelling to play as it used to be. I wonder what went wrong there, but it's okay though much more tedious.

I don't feel like playing ED anymore at the moment due to the fact that we have less stats to work with, though we have free customization. Also, it is driving me nuts.

I'm going to say it's not as fun anymore as it was in delta and gamma.
To be honest, I really enjoyed Gamma and Delta was also quite fun, though it had some huge problems.

Omega is more balanced and ultimately better for the community. Is it FUN? Questionable. It is only fun if you're one of the
dominating classes (Playing as a Tech Mage is simply not sustainable for me anymore. I'm pretty much done playing till balance is improved for us).

I've pretty much lost the urge to play ED. I really liked Delta much more than Omega, but now I'm not really enjoying battling any longer. Sure Omega is pretty much fair for both F2P and P2P but or some reason I just only feel like playing whenever I actually want to...

yes i agree all the fun has gone now and its more boring now as well lots players not playing any more its a shame realy i hope the fun comes back

I dont play much more either..but now Varium Players know how nonvars felt throughout delta. (i tihnk gamma, but im not sure)

I think the reason making it less fun is the lack of diversity in build. The game is still not balance, at least to some agreeable extent. moreover thx to stat arrangement now anyone can copy an OPed build more easily than ever. So each class tend to use just a popular, strong build (merc sup, tm caster, or focus build for any classes), making the game quite repetitive.

 Gameplay completly changed and it might seem a bit boring now, but imagine when we ll have tons of cores that allow diversity to builds(now to make different types of builds u need rare wepons wich people usually doesn t have).We just have to wait and trust it will get better as the core sistem gets improoved.And we can t complain if our win rates became "true".

These threads do tend to get old.

We all know the obvious, this game is not as fun as it used to be. There is no creativeness in builds now as 5 focus is the only viable build for everyone.

Alpha/Beta/Gamma were the best and will never be touched.

Yeaaaaaaaa-- no. Focus 5 is common because it isn't as hard to make and competes well hence why majority is there. Treat it as shift from Strength/Support abusers to Focus. There are other ones. Besides there's nothing bad in Focus, not everyone have the same Bot, nor cores, nor skills, nor strategy.

Yes, I have to agree that this is a game that has become more suited for F2P players.
Creativity is also rare as most of you said. Since there is no stat requirements on the Weapons, it allows players to easily copy builds that beat them.

My thoughts on the questions;

What's your thoughts to where EpicDuel has reached?
Its hard to say. The momentum was going from the previous 4 phases but now, its dramatically dropped. I am hoping that the enjoyment is back up and running and that everyone enjoys it like they did in their own way.

Do you still have the urge to play everyday?
My only urge giving thing was the NPCs. I could challenge them 15 times every hour and it would allow me to get a better percentage of wins. Other than that, it was due to the challenging builds people come up with which was very hard for me to deal with. I saw multiple 5 focus BM builds which did make you concentrate harder to have a chance to beat them. There was also less luck involved which made the game more strategic.

Is it better, worse than the past?
I cannot answer this question honestly since everyone has their opinion(s). If you want mine, then its got both mixed options. Yes you might disagree with this on me but even though its not as fun as it was, the game has improved in other things such as the quality of Weapons, features, NPCs...
Annoying things like long Mission chains is also tough. Its hard to finish them if you've got terrible Internet connection but its just the way it has to be. Right?

But all most of us want is the enjoyment of playing EpicDuel. Forget the losses, forget Cores, all it needs is the little thing known as fun. Once it's presence has returned, I won't be surprised to see how many people actually start to play longer and harder.

 Yes I still log in most days, but usually end up logging off in disgust after losing to luck factors.
I really love this game, but luck drives me bonkers.

I find myself rarely intrigued into playing now an days. I only check things out after a release anymore.

Rarely a game has that something that will keep player to it for unusually longer time.

As I see in this thread,many of names of posters are familiar to me in some form from past and it is always possibility that the time span we spent with this game
has made it less appealing to us. Personally,my commitment to this game has been reduced to occasionally checking out forums,and eventually login for the sole purpose of fight or two to avoid being kicked out of faction.

I am aware that imperfect games such as this one must change and adapt to strive to being better,and some changes that were made helped that,and some didn't. But that's my opinion. As far as I am concerned, ED had the potential to be fun,easy going PvP game with a community that sometimes was at it's best,but also sometimes at it's worst. Unfortunately,I have no such faith anymore.

For me,ED has lost its essence. By that it also lost its fun. But as mentioned before,it's only my opinion.
For those that still find fun in it, I wish them all the best.

For the rest of us, hey, internet is a huge beach, we will find new grains.

It quite differs from the previous stages.
Depending on how one looks at it can be either good or bad. Well, more or less fun in this case.
Personally, I found it more fun currently, then in Delta for example, atleast I have the will to play. Plus, I gotta find a legit Cyber Hunter build except Strenght-Support abuse.

 I personally liked gamma and delta more since the vast increase in stat points led to more build diversity and build options. Omega is too luck-based, and I don't like the fact that pretty much all the promos I get except for prize code ones will always return next year.
